Battery power backup for home hub 3000

Bell's web site touts the availability of backup power battery backup. and states that they have the batteries for sale. However I have been unable to find anyone at Bell that will confirm this. Also, I found the following on the internet :Bell no longer offers the Home Hub 3000 backup battery for purchase. Apparently they discontinued them in Many 2021. Is  Bell deliberately providing misleading and false info on its web site?   Does anyone know if a backup battery is still available anywhere

Thank you for your concern. Perhaps you overlooked the instructions for the self-install which ask you to plug your phone onto the TEL1 jack on the modem to initiate your phone service. Your copper phone service will be disconnected by Bell directly. You can review the video here.

Your choice of phone service is up to you. Many are deciding to move to using a cellphone for their home phone instead of a traditional landline and using the cell phone with Wi-Fi on the modem. There are many options and choices for you. Only you know which suits your situation best.

Thank you for posting your concern on the Bell Community Forum. There is no simple answer or quick fix to resolve the issue that you mention.

There are other options worth consideration during an emergency or power outage. E.g.  cellular phone, etc. 

If you wish to maintain phone service during a power outage, you can purchase a battery backup from various retailers who sell electronics and related devices, such as Staples, Amazon or Best Buy.

Similarly, if your power goes out, your cordless phones & all of your other electrical appliances will also be out of service as well. If you wish to maintain some form of partial service during a power outage, you may choose to use a portable power station, a generator, or a whole-home battery backup system. Portable power stations are good for charging devices and running small appliances, while generators provide larger power sources but must be operated outdoors due to emissions. Whole-home battery systems or backup generators can provide seamless power to your entire house, often automatically switching on when the grid goes down.
