Bell Wi-Fi app in iOS phone not showing device names, it’s only showing MAC addresses of connected devices. App used to show all device names along with MAC addresses but recently something changed in app and started showing all MAC addresses.
How can I fix this issue? I can’t pause the internet access now because I don’t know MAC addresses of all connected devices.

You can add a name by logging in to your Bell Wi-Fi app. Select Devices > choose the device you wish to name > Select edit dots, top right corner > Select Edit device details > Enter a name for the device. > Choose Save. Complete these steps for each device you wish to give an alias name.
You can also give all of your devices a name by following these instructions:
Open any web browser.
Login to your modem by typing the following: 192.168.2.1 . Select My devices. Choose the device that you wish to give an Alias name. Select the pencil to enter a name. Enter a name & then save the change. Repeat this for each of the devices you wish to name. (You will need to know your modem password to make any changes.)

I tried doing that but the MAC addresses on the devices don't match the ones listed in the Bell app so it makes it hard to match. Are there other options?

The MAC address in the app is obtained from the device that is connected to the modem. All of the addresses must match!
Let us start with: Devices - How many & what are they? Remove the app. Turn off all of your devices by doing a complete power off. Reboot your modem by unplugging the power cord, wait 30 seconds & then plug it back in. It will now restart & connect to Bell. This will take a few minutes. The lights will stop flashing when compete. Turn on the device that you are going to install the Wi-Fi app on. Connect to your network. Reinstall the app. Open the app verify the connected devices. Any devices offline can be remove by sliding the device from right to left to remove it in the app.
You can now check each devices MAC address comparing it to your modem & the app. Turn them back. Any that are not online can be deleted in the modem. All devices connected to the modem can be given alias names with their MAC address as a reference point. You can also change the icon. Any that you do want that are not online can be delete.
As a device comes online, it will appear in the modem & in the app. You can name the devices after they connect & you can see them.
From this point, just follow the recommended solution.
Take care.

I thought I had the same issue too, as my MAC addresses didn't match the ones listed on the Bell app. Then I realized that Bell reports the Wi-Fi Address, not the MAC address. Just go to your Wi-Fi settings on your device, and check the Wi-Fi address that your device uses on your network. Those should match Bell's "MAC" address.

When will the wifi app be fixed?
Why doesn’t Bell place a notice in app that it isn’t working?

Not in Ontario/Quebec region. New devices don’t show up and controls don’t work.

You might want to check out this thread for more information: Not showing device names
I don't use the wifi app so I have no idea how it works, but it sounds like they made a change to how devices are listed in the app. The information is in that thread.

I am in Ontario. The Wi-Fi app seems to be working. Have you tried to run the Wi-Fi Checkup either from the MyBell web page or from within the app itself?

Sorry to hear this is happening. The Wi-fi app on my Android phone is showing device names. From @BellAntgio's comment there is a fix coming.
Meantime, you could log into your modem's dashboard, click on My Devices, then look at the list of connected devices. You should see device names and their MAC addresses. Match up those MAC addresses with the ones on the WiFi app to manage access from the devices.

Hi everyone,
I have an iphone that perfectly connects to the network and the internet alhough that device is not listed in the wifi app.
When i connect to the giga hub web app, the device is accurately listed in the connected device list. However only its mac address (wifi address from ios) is listed, not the device friendly name.
All of the other family iphone devices are fully listed (name and mac) on both the wifi app and the modem web app.
I have removed and reinstalled the wifi app and it did not solve the issue.
Has anyone already encountered that inconsistent behavior ? any ideas how to solve it ?
