I try to install the Mcafee Internet security from bell from it will not allow me to.
I go to my account, and agree to the terms and conditions, I am given a serial number and then, when I enter it on the app, I get this message:
My internet is up and running and there are no server issues with mcafee. Any suggestions?

Hi Patricia! Nothing works. Another thing I found interesting is that my bell speed test does not work. Could those 2 issues be related?

Thank you for getting back to us @Carlos56cl.
Are you installing McAfee through MyBell on your desktop/laptop/Mac), or on a mobile device/tablet (Apple/Andriod)?
What exactly happens when you try to run a Bell speed test?

Is there any update to this problem? I have the same problem with my MacBook. I tried to reinstall the McAfee from Bell, but it keeps on complaining that there is no internet connection.
Thanks

Hi there @EdW,
Welcome to the Bell Community, and thank you for posting.
Are you connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet? If you are using Wi-Fi can you please test an Ethernet connection (if possible)?
Keep the Community posted.

Hi Patricia,
Thanks for replying. I was connected by Wifi. So i disable WiFi, and connect using Ethernet directly to the router as you suggested. Unfortunately still the same error message. I have no problems connecting to the internet, either through WiFi or Ethernet. I still receive the same error message after I input the S/N during McAfee installation.
Thanks.

Thank you for your reply @EdW.
Do you have any 3rd party security software installed? If so, it is important to disable and uninstall prior to downloading Bell McAfee.
The link we previously shared above also includes information about the system requirements needed to install the software. Can you please confirm if your MacBook meets those requirements?

Hi @BellPatricia,
Yes I check the requirements, and my MacBook meets the SW requirements. Previous security SW installed was also Bell McAfee. It complained that I need to renew, and my machine was at risk (This is message inside McAfee Security Console, not virus or malware). So I tried to reinstall, but it won't let me. Then I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I used the Uninstall SW, and it did uninstall, but there is where I'm now, I can't reinstall.
When I check my profile inside Bell app, it still show my MacBook as one of the devices, even though I uninstalled. Is there anyway to log into McAfee/Bell to delete the device? When I tried to update McAfee/Bell, it showed an email address that has domain "@nobelldomain.com". Since I don't have that email, I can't update. The email address must be a Bell internal address. How do I log into McAfee/Bell?
Thanks.

Hi there. I am having a similar issue now after having McAfee installed on my Mac for over a year. Last week, when I was running a full scan, the program completely shut down on me. It also turned off my firewall and real time protection. I tried to enable both of these features, to no avail. I uninstalled it. I tried to reinstall the file from last year, the certificate expired. Thus, I had to download the package again from Bell's website. After entering the serial number, I get a Download Problem error. When I clicked on Try Again, it has been stuck on "Downloading Files" for the longest time with no indication on completion time. I located a post from McAfee's website of a patch for Mac user published in Dec 2023. However, it requires a McAfee's account to log in to download. Our username (b1) registered to McAfee has no domain address attached. Will there be an update on Bell's website, or is there a work around?
Appreciate some assistance and guidance. I hate to have my computer unprotected.
Thank you.

Hi there Vanadiel, I have downloaded the latest McAfee version directly from Bell portal. I am still getting the same download problem error after entering the serial number. I have even restarted my computer and ran the installer again.

I don't use McAfee so I have no experience with it. I would say, for further assistance, please call 1 888 630-3087 .
