The option to include bell.net email addresses to existing sympatico.ca email accounts was offered to existing customers many years ago when bell.net was established. Sympatico.ca addresses were no longer made available at this time. If you had a sympatico.ca address, you could keep it & you could also add an identical bell.net address. This could be completed by creating a bell.net address in your email address list: Manage Email addresses.

It is not possible to convert your email address from sympatico.ca to bell.net. If you created it years ago, you may still be able to use the bell.net email address.

You can check this list to see if you exercised this option by logging in to MyBell. If you chose to add a bell.net address to your Managed Email addresses, it will be stored in this location:

To access this email address list, you should login to MyBell using you web browser. Select > My profile at the top of the page. Select > MyBell profile. Scroll down to > Internet > Select > Manage your Bell email addresses > Edit

If you exercised this option, any saved addresses that you chose to create will be shown on this list. You can no longer add an email address to this list. If the address is on this list, you can only change the password or delete the email address permanently. If you previously added it to the list, then it is available for you to use.

I just noticed this. I have a number of email addresses, some are @Sympatico.ca and some @Bell.net but there is no Add button any more. I thought we were allowed up to 10 email addresses with our account. Are you saying this is no longer true?

That is correct. If you have 10 email addresses now, then you can continue to use them. You can not add additional email addresses. You will not loose any of them unless you choose to delete them and you continue to maintain your service. If you wish to keep your Sympatico and/or Bell.net email addresses, you will need to maintain a Bell Internet account or a Bell Mobility data device, such as a Turbo Hub, Turbo Stick or MiFi, etc.

Bell stopped providing free email addresses approximately 14 month ago. If the address is on your existing email list, you can only change the password or delete the email address permanently. If you delete a Bell email account it will no longer be replaced. Bell Internet tech support has continued to support existing email accounts.

The option to include bell.net email addresses to existing sympatico.ca email accounts was offered to existing customers many years ago when bell.net was established. You could have up to 10 free email addresses that could be added to bell.net as well.

Hopefully, the information I have provided will be of assistance to you.

Take care.

Thanks for clarifying. Yes, I did take advantage of that Bell offer years ago and replicated a couple of sympatico.ca email addresses with their matching bell.ca addresses. It's unfortunate that I no longer am able to create more email addresses, up to the limit of 10, as that was part of the deal when signing up with Bell. Rogers allows up to 9 (one primary and 8 secondary).

Perhaps you could clarify one more thing. I thought I saw in earlier posts that an email address could be moved to another Bell account holder, but then I think I saw that now you can't. Is that true? For example, if I were to cancel all of my Bell services (phone and internet), I would obviously lose my email address. However, in order to keep them active, is it possible to move some email addresses to another Bell account holder, even if it is at a different physical address, and then once they have been moved, cancel my account?

Yes & no. It may be possible to request a transfer of your Bell email address account to another active Internet account when you cancel. If the account that you wish to transfer your email address to is under someone else's name you will both need to give permission for the email transfer to be done.

I can not answer the second part of your question. It is a catch-22 question. Is this hypothetical, a what if, or a real issue & problem?

If you are looking for an immediate answer, I can only suggest that you contact Bell Customer Service Internet support for an official answer. To reach Bell Customer Service Internet support, please call: 1 844 310-SURF (7873)

Good Day.

Thank you for posting your question.

I wish there was something we could do for you, but there is not. Once the account has been deleted for whatever reason, it cannot be restored.

Any emails deleted while the account is open or after it has been closed cannot be recovered.

Take care.
