Has anyone connected directly to their router with an SFP and PPPoE or another method? I'm looking for the right 10Gig SFP, but I'm not sure what one to get
I have a Ubiquitiy UDM SE gateway/router. Currently I have a 10 Gig SFP+ to RG45 with a patch between it and the HH4K's 10G RJ45 port. I'd like to eliminate the HH4K and go direct if possible.
thanks.

Hey DPS1 Thanks for all of your Input.
I have completed the move from my old network to the UDM network. changed the IP address for the DNS and DHCP to my current DNS/DHCP Windows server and everything seems to be working fine.
However do have a small hiccup. It seems that my download speed is half of my upload speed.
From the GIGA Hub as you can see below I am getting 3+ down and 3+up Gigs
However from the UDM I am getting 3.+ up consistently but the download is around 1.6Gb
Also the Wireless 5G band i seem to not be getting good coverage. I have tried the following:
1. I tried increasing the the channel bandwidth
2. I have tried multiple channels.
3. I ran the optimizer
4. I scan the channels to make sure not to select a channel that is heavily used in my area
Any help for the two issues would be appreciated.
Thanks

Let me just say that it’s a very problematic to do network assessment over wireless. There are a variety of variables that are beyond your control. I will say, however, that if you want to achieve more consistent Wi-Fi performance, you’ve got to get a third-party Wi-Fi access point or two. Maybe you don’t have the stomach to spend the money but using the giga hub for Wi-Fi is not going to produce the best results. At least that’s been my experience and many others. Let me ask you, are you running any bell tv boxes also on wifi?

Agreed I have purchased 2 AP points the 6Pro from Ubiquiti and waiting for them to come in
The Bell boxes are running from the GIGA hub Parentally the Bell technician told me that there is a thrid WIFI built in the GIGA hub that cannot be turned off or modified. That is for the TV boxes.
What about the download speed issue any ideas on that one?

Are you able to plug both UNIFI AP’s into the bell hub? Or were you planning on running one of them as mesh? You’re opening a can of learning worms here. You need to learn how to connect to and manage the new AP’s. Also they need to be powered but a POE switch or with AC injectors. Happy to help. I run 22 sites in my UNIF controller and have been though the ringer with them.

Not an option with the new gigahub modem. I used a similar product for the old Home hub before they upgraded to the giga hub. It was fantastic and allowed me to completely avoid dealing with the Bell modem.

It's neither hard nor impossible. There is a whole community of user who have done this exact thing.
Both the HH4K and the Gigahub can be bypassed either partially or completely depending on what you are trying to do.

You just made my day. I’ve been struggling with huge latency using ADMZ and PPOE is a joke. Can you please confirm what adaptor you’re using?

Would you be willing to share the steps you took to make it work? I'm reading the steps in the Discord article, but its missing some detail.

Sorry one small Q. To Set up the IP host on my L3 switch to 192.168.11.100/24 as required, because it's my second network, I have to select a VLAN other than 1. I would have thought 35 but the instructions don't say anything about it. I could, in advance of this process remove my current router/network, and use the GigaHub to route and DHCP. Then i would be cresting a new singular network on the L3 switch, but it will also default to VLAN 1.
Thanks
