I have a HomeHub 3000 which has the ability to connect a USB device. I think this includes a flash drive or external hard drive. I'd like to see how efficient it is to use the HH3000 as a media server. I presume it can simply be plugged in the same way that I plug in a USB drive on my computer. I have not been able to find anything that says if there is a safe disconnect procedure. Do I simply unplug it or is there another step?

Hi @Diver75
Have you successfully mapped/mounted the external device connected to the HH3K?
On the HH4k, there's an admin screen which shows all connected devices, including a drive connected via usb. When you click-thru the usb icon (see image), there's an "eject" icon. When clicked, the usb drive is disconnected/dismounted.
Hopefully there's a similar management screen on the HH3000.
The safest procedure, in my experience is to disconnect it from the HH using its disconnect, rather than via your computer. Similar to disconnecting a device from a NAS USB port.

Thank you Zane. I found the same screen on the HH3K and will follow you suggestion. Thanks for helping out.
