My e-mail keeps defaulting to "block all images". I can't get it to stay with "show all images".

It is now almost 2 months since this problem of randomly changing image settings was first flagged. Changing the image settings works for a day or so and then the problem happens again. When will this be fixed?

It has happened at least on a weekly basis and so far twice this morning. Vey annoying!!!

This has happened AGAIN on my Win10 Firefox.....and, I CANNOT OPEN BELL SETTINGS to select Open All Images. Cannot find the "Settings". When can you Fix this crazy problem? thank you.

setting should be at top right of your e mail. It looks like a little wheel or there should be a link in the e mail itself that says change settings .
On another note, I see that you are using sympatico.ca and so am I. I wonder if this is a common thread to the problem

@BellPatricia: I thought I read that there is a FIX for the Image Blocking phenomena happening to many of us Sympatico Customers....is there a Link you can provide? ?? Thank you....Herm Feb. 5, 2024

240220: This thread is tedious. The Bell employee(s) keep responding to declare that there is a fix...but nobody says what the fix is! What is it?? And why do you (the T/S people) not post openly about what to do, but instead say that you have/will send [u]one[/u] user a PM? There are clearly many customers experiencing the same issue - FIX IT!

The Image Gremlin has struck again! I have had to reset several times over the past couple of days. It appeared the bug had disappeared over Christmas, but it is rearing it's ugly little annoyances again. Three times in one mail reading session yesterday and agin this morning.. Just keeping you up to date as promised.

User after user after user complains about the same thing--which is an easy fix by Ma Bell, BTW--but for some mysterious reason she refuses to deliver it. Why are we still waiting, Bell??

And even when I check and it is already selected to show all images, it still doesn't show the images. On my phone I have dropped the Bell sympatico email interface and I'm using outlook. It is definitely Superior but I haven't yet given up on my laptop. I may have to switch to a different email provider.

After trying this forum with no luck, I went to Bell Tech support via telephone, on several occasions. The latest I have is that Bell is aware that it is a problem and that it is going to be addressed in its next update. However, the date of the update is unknown. They said they will let me know (we shall see). Other things to consider--Bell is having money problems as has been stated in the news recently. I do not see bell.net as a big money maker for them and it probably is a low priority. Having said that, I will give them a bit of time to see if the update comes through. If not, I will be switching e mail providers and probably my other services too. Bell support was the primary reason I stayed with Bell, but is has been going down hill more and more

I called Bell Tech Support AGAIN about this and they acted like they did not even know about the problem. I was told "Try a different browser". Guess that means that Bell isn't going to do anything about this! Welcome to Bell

How is this still an issue? Multiple calls to support and still not fixed. So frustrating to not get the service I am paying for!

In the past, when I received an email that contained an image (or images), they would render by default.
In the last month or so, when I receive any email that includes an image (or images), instead of seeing the images, I see two options displayed: Show Image & Change Image Settings. Since the images are no longer rendering by default, I select Change Image Settings, select Allow All Images, and then click the <SAVE> button. For a brief moment, I see the message, Saved Successfully.
However, this setting has NOT been Saved Successfully: when I return to my Inbox (my apologies: I don't recall if this is later that day, the next day, and/or the next time I refresh my Inbox), new emails that contain an image(s) are not rendering. Again, I see the same 2 options as before. When I select Change Image Settings this second time, I can see that Allow All Images IS selected. In an attempt to have my settings saved this second time, I selected Allow All Images Except Spam. Again, I see the message, Saved Successfully after I select the <SAVE> button.
When I next receive a new message with an image (not spam), the images still are NOT rendering - and around and around I go, repeating the same steps, and my settings are not being saved regardless of that brief message, Saved Successfully.
Has anyone been experiencing this same problem? If so, have you discovered a resolution that fixes this issue (i.e. your selection IS being Saved so you do NOT have to keep repeating this process)?

A few weeks ago Bell said they were aware of the problem and were going to address it in there next update.
I have still been getting the same problem almost daily, including today and sometimes it happens more than once a day. It does not matter what you save your selection as, it still reverts to where you have to change the settings again. There are several others who are experiencing the same problem. Per chance are you using sympatico.ca? I am giving them to the end of the month and then I will have to decide what to do. Bye bye Bell??

There are definitely a lot of issues with bell; I'm pretty much stuck with them as my bell Internet account is 1 of 2 services I receive them; if I cut bell email, I lose my discount on the other service! This frustrates me to no end! I've found that each time they give us a webmail "update," more problems arise! I'd like to go back about 4 iterations of these "updates," as I believe the functionality of their Internet service was far better then than it is now!
To answer your question, I use bell.net, not sympatico.ca.
If I COULD, I'd dump bell.net too!
