I want to back up my webpage and upload files to my Siteground hosting service using FTP, but I can´t establish communication. I already disabled my firewall and tried using a telnet connection, but no connection has been established yet. I am using FileZilla and tried ports 20, 21, 990 and 18765 with their specific protocol setup.
SIteground.com suggests this because my ISP (Bell) is blocking those ports.
Any suggestions?

I am not sure what they all offer, but this might be of use to you?
The following TCP ports are open on all SiteGround shared servers for outgoing connections:
21 – This is the default FTP port.
Due to the SiteGround security policy, custom incoming ports can NOT be opened per customer request on our servers.
This is very common and the same with Bell and many other providers. Pending on exactly what services you have paid for with sideground, you might not be able to connect to port 21.
Best to check with them, as ports on Bell internet connections are closed for inbound connectivity on most common ports. You can try enabling UPNP in the home hub modem, but that has it's own draw backs.
