I have been living at my current building for nearly 2 years with the message "We don't bring fibre to your address, but we bring it to your neighborhood" I was just wondering is there any way to get fibre to our address or a timeline for when something like that would happen? I know there are a few others in my building wondering the same thing..

I don't have wired highspeed in my area.

What department in Bell Canada is responsible for running the cables on utility poles or under ground?

The neighbors that are 250 meters away from my house do have wired internet.

I live in YorkRegion, Ontario.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ian

When my house can get Fiber internet? Across street Highspeed Fiber is available . Then my side Bell forget to setup Fiber for over 3 years. When you can connect across street to connect to Fiber?

Thanks

when will bell improve internet speed in the area of Appalachian Rd. Maple, ON L6A.... been max 100mb for over 10yrs?

I am north side of Hunt Club Ottawa downtown. My across street neighbors have fiber Internet over 3 years. We can see the Fiber jump box just another side of street. When you can make Fiber available for my house?

Thank you very much and have a nice day.

Tony

Anyone know when Bell plans to deliver fine Internet to Stagg Garden in Milton?  I along with all my neighbours have been. Overcharged for years now while all the streets around us are getting Fiber internet at 1Gig+. We get 100 MB as our highest available speed and get billed $120/month for it. It’s ridiculous. Every other provider is delivering true fiber to homes and charging reasonable rates.  Looking for help. Are there other Internet options to our street that I can choose?

Thank you for your question. I can appreciate your frustration. Unfortunately Bell does not release their specific plans for laying fibre installation publicly. We have no access to that information in the Community Forum.

The first indiction you will have that fibre is coming is that there will be signs posted in the community. Then you will see utility marking followed by contractor equipment actually laying fibre. Someone from Bell (also a contractor) will come to your door seeking permission to enter your property for the actual fibre installation. Eventually the contractor will show up to lay the fibre to your home, followed by another contractor to connect the fibre to local hubs. You will know your fibre is "lit" and available when you check your address on the MyBell web page. The time from start to finish for all those steps is about 3-4 months or more. This was my own experience over a year ago after twenty years of copper line DSL service.

Hello,I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to inquire about the possibility of having fiber optic internet service installed at L6C ***. I am currently interested in upgrading my internet connection to benefit from the high speeds and reliability that fiber optic technology offers. My address is L6C *** and I have been exploring available options for internet service providers. I would greatly appreciate it if you could inform me about any plans to expand fiber optic service to my area or if there's a way to request such a service.Understanding the complexities and planning involved in expanding fiber optic infrastructure, I am keen to know if there are any ongoing or future projects that might include my location. Additionally, I would be grateful for any advice on how I could support or expedite this process.Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you soon.    Best regards

I can only suggest that you will definitely know when Bell is working on installing fibre to your neighbourhood by the increase activity outside. This will include Bell design engineers, locators, contractors, Bell techs, etc.

The process to install fibre to a neighbour takes time & resources.

Does anyone one know when high speed will be available in Nipissing, I was told it would be available last year but haven’t heard anything since.

I am tired of asking this question again and again. We live in Joshua Creek, Oakville. For years, we have been stuck with a max of 100 Mbps speeds. It is frustrating to see Bell advertising up to 3Gbps of internet service. When is this going to be available in our neighborhood? Why this step treatment? Just because we have no other big players in this neighborhood, is Bell taking advantage of this situation?
