Gigahub Name & Password changed after power outage

My old copper line modem name was Bell501 and had 8 character password.  We changed to Gigahub last week, new name is Bell092 and has 12 character password.  Bell tech took old modem away.  Our house power went out for an hour last night.   This morning my wifi devices all lost connection to Gigahub.   Turns out the Gigahub auto lmatically changed its name to the old modem Bell501 as well as old 8 character password.   This should never happen Bell.  You need to fix that.  Unacceptable.

The password length is currently a maximum of 60 characters due to a bug. While it allows you to enter a 63 character long password, it will not work.

Thanks, Vanadiel - that's what I figured. It worked until last week, and then stopped working, so I assume a firmware update is at fault.

That would make sense. My modem was changed out twice in a years or so time, and on both occasions it setup itself automatically as soon as it was connected to the Bell network.

I am thinking the bug is a "feature" to make it easy for customers who need replacing equipment, as it will auto configure them. Or it could just be a bug, but it would be an odd bug as it was to store the complete configuration somewhere and link it to your new modem, which has a unique identifier associated with it to prevent unauthorized devices from accessing the network.
