My Home Hub 2000 reports:
Hardware version: 5250-000004-001
Firmware version: SG9815205C
User Interface: 6.2.1
Is there any update for the firmware? If there is how do I get it and how do I install it?
Is there any update for the user interface? The documentation suggests that there is the ability to set the brightness of the display lights to high or low, but I can find no place to do this. Is there a way, and if so where? Also on the MAC filtering page, the area where a MAC address can be entered manually overlays the display of MAC addresses (the left hand column) so that not all of them are visible or reachable. Is there a way to get around this?

Firmware updates are pushed automatically when the modem is connected to the network.
Not sure what the latest firmware revision is for the 2000, but if an update is needed it will update itself.
Most tutorials these days are pretty basic. Home Hub 2000 Tutorials
