I couldn't find any other posts on this subject so wondering if it is some settings im missing.
Since the new format change from Nov, 21 there is no keywords search for emails.
I called technical service and was told they are working on it - after hours installing, logging in differently, and testing everything. No solution after many call backs to Bell.
Does everyone else have this problem, or is it just me?

I dont use outlook for email, however my contacts are in outlook as I used outlook for contacts on my previous windows phone and continue to do so on Android and just sych it to the Google contact app. Also using the outlook calander, again synched to the phone Google calendar app. My issue is I have an older Android phone with 64Gb memory over 1/2 used already and if I add the sympatico email to the the Outlook mobile client it will overflow the phone memory. While new Outlook apparently stores some messages on the server, it is not clear how memory it saves locally, and in any case the mobile outlook still stores everything locally. While I believe it can be done without a third party tool, a third party tool would allow me to create various pst files and I assume there is some way I can use the archive folder (by far the largest) as backup on my desktop without having it imported into outlook and then onto my phone. It is very frustrating as I do not use email on the phone often and with the windows phone you could just specify 7 days, I month, etc, on the phone's email app to limit what was downloaded to the phone. If there is a way to do so in Android (v13) I have not been able to find it.

I have to wonder if you are expecting more from your phone and software than it can deliver. You might need to upgrade your phone to meet your needs.

The phone is not really the issue. I can use the web interface and email on the phone is not a priority. Issue is backing up and moving the sympatico email to outlook. I could just use Gmail but prefer outlook and have a MS 365 family plan. However it is surprising to me anyhow that there are not memory management tools in the mobile outlook, ie only load 30 days of email.

Thank you for the clarification. What you are describing are limitations of Outlook in MS 365, which makes your experience a Microsoft issue and not a Bell issue. In a recent technical newsletter I subscribe to, an article describing the differences between the various versions of Outlook (classic, new, MS 365 and others), the author said, "Outlook (in MS 365 - added) now defaults to keeping the last 30 days of emails in offline storage."

The Bell issues are no export function for the email. I know there are work arounds but it would be helpful to have a direct export function. Second, search function not working on my inbox. Bell says they have escalated the issue but so far they fixed it once and it lasted about three searches and then failed again. While not a bell issue for some reason the outlook android app currently does not have any way to limit the days to synch.

To anyone following this post after several tries Bell appears to have fixed my inbox and I can now do searches. However when I still had problems searching the display name they advised "You can type the subject of your search, and click enter to see results. A search can be done using the from, recipients and subject but not for the display name." . I am pretty sure that previously I was able to search by display name, but at least I can now search by the above notes fields again. One thing to note if you have the same problem and ask Bell for assistance is that they changed my password while working on the problem and effectively locked me out of my email until I figured it out and changed the password back on the bell site. When I did I noted they had sent me an email that the password was changed. It would have been a lot more useful if they emailed me the notice before locking me out. Anyhow now working as noted above.

Good Day.
Thank you updating the community. Glad to see everything is now copacetic.
FYI Only. There has never been a search function for the: Display name. Your suggestion is certainly worth consideration & review by the internet development team.
There are no bad ideas.
Take care & enjoy..
