I bought the new MacBook Pro M2 Pro released on Jan 24th.
I have followed the instructions on https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT213433 including the usual resetting turn on off the router and computer. Regardless of separate SSID for 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz or a combined automatic one, the 6E network does not actually show up on my new MacBook Pro.
Do I need to change some setting or does Bell need to activate Wifi 6E manually from their side etc?
Screenshot of my Mac 6Ghz support and the config screen of Bell Wifi is shown (note I have also tried common SSID, auto channel/bandwidth, and different security modes)

It's possible you have discovered one of the limitations of wi-fi connections. Without doing a deep dive into the physics of wi-fi signals, this comment from Intel says it well.
There are many possible reasons for slow connection speed. Physical barriers, such as walls and floors, can affect wireless signals. The distance between the device and the access point and the number of devices using your Wi-Fi network will also impact connection speed. Even simple things like adjusting the height of your router off the floor can impact its performance.
Three main factors impact the speed of your Internet connection—the placement of the router, the technology, and the devices that are connected to it.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/tech-tips-and-tricks/how-to-increase-wifi-speed.html
This is true for the various wireless protocols, as you have discovered. Your device drops it's connection frequency from 6Ghz to 5Ghz to 2.4 Ghz as it is further and further from your Giga Hub. Pods have the same behaviour. This is normal behaviour for any wireless connection I am told and is the result of the laws of physics, not failure of the carrier. The same behaviour is true, I believe, of cellular phones and their connection or Bluetooth devices.

I think it is the hub 4000. I just upgraded. I have wi-fi analyzer apps on my Samsung S21 and my new M2 MacBook Pro and my 6Ghz wifi network is not showing up. I disabled whole home wi-fi and gave each band a separate wi-fi name. Time to call Bell tech support.

I only have the Bell Gigahub, that I recently got as part of a new Fibe 1.5 plan. If you are not able to detect the 6E on multiple devices (I have only this MacBook Pro M2 Pro) then it is the Bell device fault. I would call them and even demand they do a live 6E demonstration or ask for refund / discount.

Thanks. Seems that support for 6E still needs to be worked out. For now, I do not see my separate 6ghz wi-fi to select and it does not appear on my wi-fi analyzers. I will call Bell support on Monday. I wonder if I need a firmware upgrade...

Hi @LeoOttawa ,
Which modem do you have? Wifi 6 should show up.
If you have the Home Hub 4000 (like I do), wifi 6E isn't available. My Samsung S20-FE shows wifi 6 is broadcasting.
If you have the Giga Hub, there are problems with wifi 6E, noted in this Community Forum and in other discussion forums (Reddit, DSLR- Bell).

Hi. I have the Hub 4000 (new last week, FAST 5689E) with 6ghz support. I turned on and named my 6ghz wifi network separately in the advanced wifi settings.

Ok, so you have the Giga modem. It's replacing the HH4000.
If your 6E-capable devices are not seeing a 6Ghz broadcast then 6E is either not implemented on the modem, or there's an unknown/undefined issue.
You should make sure the Giga firmware is patched to the most recent version. Request it be pushed to the modem, here.

Hi there @LeoOttawa, thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community.
Can you share which 6e capable device you are using?

Thanks @BellPatricia for helping me with the firmware update. Unfortunately, I do not see my wifi 6ghz network from my MacBook M2 Pro. I will contact tech support to see what can be done.

Hey,
Have you fix the issue? Bell support wasn't helpful at all and told me there is nothing they can do as everything seems to be set correctly on the Gigahub.

Not really, I still need to find a friend with a verified 6Ghz wifi capability to double check.
Then I will probably ask for my money back or something since this was the marketed feature that made me go with Bell.
Ya sorry to hear that, I stopped using the forum.

Has anyone been able to get their M2 MBP to work on the 6Ghz spectrum with the Gigahub yet....I'am on 1.16 on the modem and the MacBook cannot see it although when using WiFi Explorer I am able to see a neighbours network, finally eliminating the MBP as the issue.

Have you attached a picture to the post? I am unable to see it. Also are you referring to MacBook Pro with M2 or M2 Pro chip? Only the ones with M2 Pro / M2 Max chips have wifi 6Ghz
No there is no fix. Does not work for me. Wifi Explorer is a 3rd party software that detects 6Ghz networks? Last I checked most softwares were still not detecting 6Ghz networks
