No receipients received BCC'd emails

I have a client who is 100 years old... she has a sympatico address.  She just had a party to celebrate, and wanted to send out a thank you note to the 90 people who came to celebrate.  I set up a lovely thank you email and we BCC'd 30 people at a time and emailed the thank you note.  NONE OF THEM ARRIVED>

Her bell.net shows that the 3 emails were sent, but NO ONE has received one yet.  There was no bounce back, or anything to inform us that the bcc'd emails did not go through... What is happening here?  What is happening to Bell, they used to be so reliable!!

Good day.

Thank you for posting your question. Are you still experiencing an issue in sending out emails? When were these emails sent? If they were sent out between approximately Jun. 14th - Jun. 20th, there was a recent email service interruption issue with Hotmail/Outlook email domains unable to receive from Bell Webmail email domains. This has since been resolved. This might likely have been the cause of the emails not being received.

Have you tried sending out a test email message to one of the known recipients who did not receive the original message? If you are still experiencing an email issue, please contact Bell Internet Tech support and have a trouble ticket opened up on the issue. Please call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355)

I have included the following article for your review.

Solved: Hotmail Outlook email cannot receive emails from S... - Bell

Take care.

Hi Welsh Terrier, Yes, I was part of that Sympatico/Hotmail outage last week.

I sent these BCC'd emails out yesterday(Thursday the 26th).  When I sent one out individually, it had no problem arriving at its destination.  But the bulk mailing did not arrive.  Although, when I went to Bell.net and looked in SENT items, it appears as they they have been sent (NONE of the 90 arrived at their destination).

It's likely an anti-spam measure to avoid mass e-mailing.

You might have to send them out in smaller amounts of 10 or less at a time.

That is RIDICULOUS... I did not find this warning ANYWHERE on Bell's website, I have been using sympatico for 30 years and have never run across this.... Also, I got no feedback after sending that they DID NOT go out, it shows them beautifully in the SENT items folder.  I s Bell no longer taking any responsibilities for any of their actions!!

I understand your concern. I am also a 30+ year Sympatico user. Unfortunately, our world has changed. Sending e-mails in bulk and using BCC is an automatic sign of a spammer and e-mail can be rejected at any point in the internet e-mail system, including by your recipients. At one time (you may remember this) e-mails from Sympatico were never delivered as some providers completely blacklisted any e-mail from sympatico.ca, sending such e-mails into the proverbial bit bucket. Things have improved since then.

There have been good suggestions offered by others. I can only endorse them as ways around our e-mail realities.

I use commercial e-mail systems, and I have to use batches of 50 e-mails at a time to avoid running into this issue.

And my e-mail is a paid commercial service, it's not free. So I created 12 batches of 50 e-mails, so I can e-mail 600 people at a time.

I sent them out again, with only 10 at a time on BCC.... this is something bell should let us know about... if there is a limitation, how would we know.

Thank you for letting us know that the suggestion to send with smaller addresees worked.
