Router password reset

Hi

i have the home hub 3000 router and have forgotten my admin password, it says press the button with a key on it and the password will be sent to my registered phone and email, which when pressed the router duly says it’s done but I get no email (have checked junk folder) or message on my phone. Anyone else had similar experience? Fixed it?

Did you setup Password recovery on your Hub 3000 when it was installed?
If not, then you need to do so to recover it.

1. Open your web browser. > Enter the following in your address bar: 192.168.2.1  > 2. Click on Modem preferences. > 3. If prompted, enter the administrator password. Unless you have changed it, the default password is the serial number located on the sticker on the back of the modem. > 4. In the Contact information section, enter your email address & confirm your Email address. Optionally, you can also add your mobile number to receive a text message. > 5. Click the Save button. 6.  Exit your web browser & press the Password recovery button on your modem.

If after completing the above steps & your Password recovery still does not work, you will need to contact Bell Fibe Internet Tech Support at 310-BELL.

Hello. Ever since I got my Hub 3000, the PW recovery button on the front of it doesn't seem to work.

It says that it has sent a message to both my email and phone but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Hello

I have a similar problem, I have my modem just replaced, and on my desktop, open the 192.168.2.1 page, and tried to see the details of my modem, prior to the replacement, I do have administrator login password (it is different from the WF password) and was working fine. But with the replaced box, that didn't work, and I tried various passwords, wifi password, S/N, none of them worked.   However, when I open the wifiapp on my mobile, then it didn't prompt for administrator login password.  Just wonder, how can I get that administrator login password?

  1. Open a browser and type 192.168.2.1 in the address bar.
  2. Log in. Unless you have changed this, the default password is the Serial Number (S/N) located on the sticker on the back of the modem.

If after completing the above steps and you still can not login, you will need to contact Bell Fibe Internet Tech Support at 310-BELL.

For future reference you can also set up the following for password recovery:

6.  Exit your web browser & select Password recovery on your modem.

I have attached a link that will assist you in answering some of your Modem & Wi-Fi questions.

Did you try the default password, which is the serial number located on the sticker on the back of the modem?

Another method after logging in the modem:

  1. Click on Modem Login.
  2. The administrator login box will now show you the address it will email your passwords to.
  3. Press the Password recovery button (key symbol) on the front of the modem
  4. If the password and email address have not been set, the display will show the SSID and password for the default connection
  5. If the password and email address have been set, the display will indicate that the settings have been sent by email or text.
