I’ve currently upgraded from HH4000 1Gb to Gigahub 3gb and my wifi speeds are terrible.
I’ve already turned off wifi optimization and Wifi 6, along with different SSID names. Currently on firmware 1.14.1
how can I get the new 1.15x firmware @BellPatricia

While we're several firmware updates away from the original post, I'm running the latest as of Nov 13 2023, and what I've found, in my own experience and in consensus with others in various technical forums, the wifi on the Gigahub isn't all that great. My attainable speeds from the modem are sub-par, by a lot.
Myself, I use an ASUS router in PPPoE passthru mode.
That configuration is completely not supported by Bell, but with wifi6 I get 1600/1300.
I use the wifi on the Gigahub to connect to the Gigahub, that's all.
Other than the wireless performance, the Gigahub has been rock solid used as an ONT.
Never a problem, always full speed.
I could do with fewer late night maintnenace windows that turn off my smart sound generators, but that's a different thread. 🙂

I recently had the 3GB Bell internet service installed, but I am encountering some issues with the coverage and signal strength compared to my existing Videotron internet. The Bell internet router seems to have a weaker coverage area and the Wi-Fi signal is not as strong as what I am used to with Videotron. Additionally, I have noticed fluctuations in speed, which are not consistent.I am reaching out for advice on how to address these concerns as I am considering cancelling the Bell internet service within the next 24 hours and sticking with Videotron. Any guidance or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Best solution for any WiFi signal strength issues is using a separate wired AP. I use one myself and it's a godsend.
However, it's not for everyone so the next best option is "pods". WiFi Pods
Something to try before anything else, is using the free Bell WiFi App

Hi, so my 3GB Fibe service is delivering only 70Mbps Download and 30Mbps upload speeds on every device I own at my house and the connection is really unstable, but when I run the Gigahub speed test it show as 3.2Gbps download and 3Gbps upload which is really inconsistent with what I'm experiencing. Tried both on WI-FI and LAN and same result...No P2P, No download running, only 1 device connected and same result...

If the internal speed test shows 3/3 then your profile speed is set correctly.
I know you said you tried LAN, but try again with a wired LAN connection from device directly into the LAN port of the modem, and do a speed test using Ookla

Thank you for your question. Please say more about your system. Your issue appears to be from the modem to your device as your speed test is what is expected p for the 3Gb fibre package. Please tell us more about your devices and how they are connected to your GigaHub. Please include the distance between your devices and your Giga Hub, as well.

I just switched to Bell from Rogers. I had 500mbps Rogers plan and I could get 500mbps on all my devices my phone, PC etc. Now I got 1.5gbps and I can only get 300mbps on my PC. While I get 1.1gbps on my phone, and 1.5gbps on router speed. So the internet speed seems fine but there is a problem at my PC's speed. It has 6ghz Wireless and close to the router. I dont think it is anything to do with PC's settings since I was getting max capped 500mbps with Rogers internet where the modem was further away and only 5ghz. I tried changing configuration on the wireless hardware like locking it to 6ghz or 5ghz, roaming agressiveness to max and other things I found internet but nothing helped.

Thank you for your question. Have you tried a wired connection with the Giga Hub?

For 6 Ghz in close proximity, an average device speed of around 500 Mbps is expected. You can see real world test results here. It depends a bit on the hardware also as some is faster than others.
You could try with a wired connection to verify what speed you are getting wired. It also depends on the device, as the device also has to support WiFi 6. If your device only supports WiFi 5 that could also explain your speed issue.

I was connecting to Rogers from the second floor with 5GHZ, getting 500mbps capped stable. Right now I connect with 6ghz and highest I have seen is 350Mbps. I dont have a cable connection setup, so ethernet cable will not work for me. Same router gives 1.1Gb to my phone, but there is a problem between PC and this router.

The higher the frequency the shorter the signal strength. Try a 5 Ghz connection to the home hub and see what your speeds are then.
Also keep in mind any local speed test can be affected by local conditions like browser plugins, disk speeds etc...

I recently switched from Cogeco 1.0GB internet and my iMac showed speed test of about 550 Mbps. Now on Bell 3.0 GB the same iMac is showing around 260Mbps. The number of devices has not changed at about 13. The Bell speed test shows that the modem is great, showing over 3GB speed up and downs. Why is my iMac half as fast compared to when I was on the Cogeco WiFi? Bell phone support was no help, only saying that the 3.0GB is shared with all my devices. Well that was the same with Cogeco too! The agent finally just hung up on me!!! Not acceptable.

Hi there @DBC944,
Welcome to the Bell Community 🙂
Which version of iMac are you using, and are you connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet?
Do you have any third party equipment in use, such as a router or any pods/switches? Can you share a screen shot of a speed test with us (one while connected via Ethernet, and one via Wi-Fi)?
Are all thirteen of your devices typically online and sharing the connection at the same time? If they are, that download speed could make sense as the number of devices connected to the internet will share the bandwidth, thus affecting the speed.
You can test a bit further by disconnecting your devices and then check the speed directly to your iMac. We recommend using a direct Ethernet connection for optimal performance
Please let the Community know if you have any more questions.

It should also be noted that a Mac can be easily connected to the Giga Hub with a wired ethernet connection. You need an Ethernet to USB-C adapter, available for under $20 on Amazon, and a Cat 6 ethernet cable.
