Slower upload Giga Hub vs 3000

Hi,

I have just upgraded to the latest Giga Hub. My home network use Google Wifi which is directly connected to the Bell router using a CAT5E cable.

With the previous 3000 router, I could reach about 900Mb download and 700mb upload when testing the speed using Google Home app.

Now, with the new Hub, same cable, same everything...When I speed test the Google Wifi I can still get about 900Mb download BUT the upload now seem limited to 225mb upload when connected to an ethernet port.

I have tested all the ports including the 10Gb port. Same speed.

Is there a problem with my new modem  or this is the new normal???

Thanks

The speed test are fines except from the Google Wifi router.

After further research, I have found this to be a know problem with Google Wifi. The Google Wifi built-in speed test gives false results.

It's just weird that I did not have this issue with the Bell 3000 modem.

Anyway..all good. Speed is fine from all other source. I was not sure if I was going to change Google Wifi to a more recent 6E mesh, I have my answer now.

Thanks

Can you do a speed test from within the modem, to ensure you get the proper connection speed as per your profile?

You can actually use this test to both test your connection speed, and internet speed: Speed test

You can also use this test to just test your connection speed (from within the modem): Speed test from Home Hub
