Software for resetting up an existing Sympatico email account?

My very senior relative has had a windows 7 machine for a very long time. With this edition of windows no longer supported by MS for some time and now her free AV software soon to be similarly not supported for Windows 7 we have decided to bite the bullet and get her a "basic" Windows 7 machine.

As I recall she views and sends email (still an @sympatico address) via Outlook...not sure how that happened.

But what are her (my) options to re-establish her @sympatico account on the new machine? Thanks for your experience.

Hey @rouge21. Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Community. 🙂

Check out this article on setting up software, and accessing your Bell email on a computer. Just click on the link that says 'set up your email software with IMAP settings' and choose your email program.

Have a nice day.

Thank you @BellPatricia for the reply. The link is helpful. The web based email seems like the preferable way to go rather than setting up her email again using POP/IMAP.

A couple of questions....it appears that one can continue using an @sympatico email address?

I haven't looked closely enough but is there an option for 2FA for bell/sympatico email accounts?

If so, once she is signed in and authenticated she can stayed signed in indefinitely?
