Wifi disconnects from laptop when it goes to sleep mode

Recently seeing laptops sporadically disconnect from WiFI. Always disconnects when it goes to sleep mode and I need to reauthenticate to get back on. This doesn’t happen with mobile devices or cameras or AppleTV, just the laptops.  This is new, previously remembered password and automatically reconnected.

Thanks for your question. You don’t indicate your operating system, but recent updates from Microsoft in Windows 11 did resets in certain settings without informing the user. Confirm that your computer will always connect when wireless is available. If you wish, you can turn off sleep mode in your power settings, with no ill effects, if you always keep your laptop plugged in.
