Hi. I have a new internet provider that is able to give me Fibe. Bell does not have it in my area so I have switched. I will have to close my Sympatico email which is hundreds of years old! Is there anyway I can get my email folders and such transferred to my gmail account?

I assume your Sympatico email is stored on Bell's server rather than on your device's email client. If so, there is no way to transfer your emails etc to Gmail's mail folders (which also is stored on the cloud). What you can do is load an email client (such as Thunderbird) and download all your Sympatico emails to that via POP3.
OTH if you do use a local email client storing your emails, you can set up Gmail on that through IMAP, which will download your new Gmail stuff to your device, but in folders separate from your Sympatico stuff.
As a very poor alternative, you could forward all your Sympatico emails to Gmail before you discontinue your Bell service. (or pay $$ to keep your Bell account active).

Depending on what you have been using to retrieve your emails, there are various options open to you to save emails. If you have left them on the Bell server, then they will be lost if you move accounts to another supplier unless of course you are using POP3 vs IMAP mail settings retrieval & downloaded them to your P.C.
Last option & maybe only other option is to forward all them to your new account before closing your Sympatico account.
Good luck..........

For the love of Polka Dot Elephants - HOW DO I SIMPLY forward all my older SYMPATICO emails to a new gmail account so I don't lose these vital communications?

Anything other than one at a time, you'll lose your individual headers.
I guess you could group your emails by sender or by topic and either PDF them as searchable attachments. That would give you a catalogue/archive easily searchable.
or research a "bulk send" (of which I'm not aware)
Good luck

Doesn't look like you have any options other than one-by-one from the web page for Sympatico, but see other reply
Sympatico can IMPORT another account, but no menu item for EXPORT.
Can also forward NEW emails to you Gmail account.
HOWEVER, Gmail has an "Accounts and Import" option under the expanded Settings menu that should help you (I've never used it but let us know how it goes)
I'd set up a Forward first, then go to Gmail and try the Import.

Unfortunately, no, other than forwarding them to your Gmail account.

Good Day.
There is s no method to recover Bell Webmail emails & contacts once the account has been closed. Prior to closing the account, you could have saved the contacts & emails to your computer or device.
You cannot transfer your emails or contacts over to another supplier.
- When using Bell Webmail, you can easily save an email message by selecting 'Save as EML file' under the dropdown menu within the email.
- When using Bell Webmail, if you go to the contacts section, you could have selected the contacts folder you want to save and click the "More" drop down and select "Export" to an Excel file.
Take care.
