Access text messages overseas without Bell SIM inserted

Hi,

I spend half my time in Canada and half in Australia. While I am in Australia I have my Australian SIM with my Australian mobile number in my phone.

My question is, is there any way I can access text messages sent to my Canadian Bell phone number, either online, through the Bell app or anything else?

Surely I don't need to insert my Bell SIM (and incur the subsequent roaming charges) just to get through the 2FA on some of my accounts...

Hey there @warrenmacdonald

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.

In order to receive text messages and 2FA that are linked to your Bell Mobility service, you will need to have your Bell SIM card in your mobile phone.

Hello, is there a certain amount of time text messages will stay on the bell server before being retrieved? I have been overseas for 2 months and recently put my SIM back in -got the welcome to roaming text- but did not receive any other text messages. I have confirmation that some were sent from various contacts in my phone after I initially removed the SIM.

any thoughts?

I’ve asked that question a few times and have yet to get an answer from Bell. Without paying for overseas access to use my phone, I cannot ever see those texts that were sent.
