Hi - newbie here. I switched from Rogers to Bell Mobility 4 years ago, as neighbors recommended that Bell had the better coverage in the area (we just acquired a cottage there). I also noticed my son, who was with Bell Mobility was not dropping calls / using data was fine without issues.
So I switched to Bell with the added bonus that there was some savings with my EPP plan from work, and enjoy very acceptable service.
Hopefully this post is ok on this forum, but now I need to upgrade 2 phones and I'm not thrilled with what my EPP and Bell Mobility are offering so looking at alternatives. Virgin Plus is interesting and the question I have is can I expect the same good coverage I am currently getting. I know Virgin uses the same network and I'm told its Bell 4G LTE. Looking at some of the maps, I don't think 5g is in the area yet, but I don't really have much of a need. Phones are mainly used for talk/text/FB etc and I do use phone as hotspot. Some sports is streamed occasionally today.
I know everyone says its the same network for Virgin, but is it really? I need reliability for the phone coverage as I'm getting today ultimately for work. Thanks

Thank you for your questions. You are not specific about your cottage location, so your question is difficult to answer. Virgin is what is called a "flanker" brand of Bell Mobility. They use the same towers and network. Without something more specific geographically, it's hard to comment further on coverage.

Thx - effectively I was asking if I should expect the same level of reliable service (ie-coverage) using Virgin. I would assume I would since they are using the same towers / network unless they can throttle speeds or something and give Bell customers a bit better service. Cottage is south of Minden
