Call failed message when trying to access cell phone voicemail

My phone shows I have a voicemail.  When I try to access it by 1) pressing the voicemail icon and 2) pressing holding 1, it shows that it’s calling voicemail but the call does not complete. After several minutes, I press the red “end call” icon and the message shows up “call failed”.  This has been going on for 2 days.  Please advise.

Turn off your cell. Power off completely. Turn cell back on. Try to connect. If this does not work, try dialling from a landline or someone else’s phone:

  1. Dial your 10-digit mobile phone number.
  2. While the voicemail greeting is playing, press # to hear the password prompt.
  3. Enter your voicemail password.
  4. You’ll hear menu options and prompts to help you use Message Centre.

If this still does not work, please contact Bell Mobility Tech support: Call 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.
