Email to SMS/text messaging - No longer available as of December 31, 2025

How do I send an email as a SMS/text message? I used to use <number>@text.bell.ca or <number>@text.bellmobility.ca

Is the gateway still available? Has the address changed? Thx.

I understand that you don't like the change. I don't work for Bell, but simply agreed with another user and Bell customer regarding their explanation answering your question. As Bell customers in this user to user forum, we have no input or influence regarding Bell's business decisions.

I did not intend that for you but for the Bell employees who monitor this forum since they don't offer direct e-mail to them, and the chat bot does not care. I do see that there are people who identify themselves as Bell employees in the forums, so I was just adding an additional comment to my thread. 

Thank you for taking some time to also comment on my thread, (or the thread it was merged with) I know you are just voluntarily trying to add information to the discussion, and I appreciate that. 

I don't use Gmail 

it seems like I already am not getting my notifications from the outdoor safety device my snowmobile club uses.  This is going to be a big problem for us.

Thank you for your input. Text via email is being discontinued globally throughout the U.S., Canada, etc. It is not being replaced.

Bell, like all other Canadian carriers, is also eliminating this service. This service will no longer be available as of December 31, 2025.

There are very few viable cost-effective solutions on the market today that can be used as an alternative.

Earlier this year I was the victim of a list bombing attack, so for the past few months I have been flooded with email to sms messages.  I was told that nothing could be done at the time on the network end, but that as of Dec 31 the service would be terminated which would put an end to the messages.  I am still receiving email to sms messages a week after the service was supposed to be shut off.  Anyone having a similar experience or have any insight to what can be done?
