My phone won't connect to any network in international travel

this happened in Mexico in March and is happening now in France.  No bars come up at all.  I have a full travel plan for $15/day and it can't connect to ANYTHING.  Any thots on why this is happening.

And trying to get hold of Bell is VERY frustrating.  Chat won't show up, no email address, just a 9-5 phone # with a long wait.

Hey there @Malarke555
Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.
When traveling, there's a few things to check in order to ensure your phone is ready. Here are a few examples:
  • Ensure that no roaming restrictions are present on your account.
  • Ensure to toggle ON your roaming capabilities in the phone settings.
  • You may need to manually search for a local network via your network settings.

Hello,  I am currently in the UK and calls from Canada go straight to V.M. in addition calls fail when I try to call Canada.  I tried rebooting the phone and changing the Network from automatic to a UK provider and that didn't help.

I am currently in Thailand for a month and a half I have my Roaming turned on but as soon as I landed here my phone has become a paper weight.

I cannot recieve calls, texts, can't call out or even text out! My girlfriend is also with bell and her phone works the exact same as it did when we were still in Canada . I've called customer service only 18 times since being here and my phone is still useless. Beyond frustrated and seriously considering canceling my service when I get back to Canada

I'm in cuba added the travel pack it keep saying no network, I have roam allowed in the settings

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

As a starting point, are you in area of Cuba that does offer cell coverage? Please refer to this coverage map. Please choose Cuba for your destination. How to use my mobile phone outside of Canada

When you turn on your device, it will automatically connect to the strongest available network.

Connectivity troubleshooting tips:

  • Restart your device: Turn off your device, wait five minutes, turn it back on, and wait another five minutes. This can often resolve temporary connectivity problems.
  • Toggle airplane mode: Turn airplane mode on and off. This can force your device to reconnect to the network.
  • Disable data saving features: Disable “Low Data Mode” on iOS devices or “Data Saver” on Android devices. While these features are helpful for conserving data, they can sometimes interfere with connectivity.
  • Check the network selection setting: To ensure the best possible network connection, especially when travelling to a new destination, set your device’s network selection setting to “Automatic.” This allows your device to automatically connect to the strongest available network and avoids connection issues. If you want to change the network you’re using, use manual network selection. For instructions on how to change the network, consult the user guide for your device or the tutorials in our mobile device support section – just select your device from the drop-down menu.

Let us know if you require any further assistance.

Take care.
