Will Roam Better cover the UK

If I have the cross border Canada/US package for calls, text and data, plus Roam Better for overseas, am I able to make calls from the UK to either Canada or the US within the Roam Better envelope? If not, what is the cost for calls from the UK to Canada or the US?

You can call Canada from the U.K if you subscribe to Roam Better. There is a charge for calls made to destinations outside of your Roaming destination other than Canada. Please refer to Roam Better FAQ #4.

I just had the most bizarre issue with Bell Mobility and I was shocked, disappointed and insulted that they were unable to help me and how they put the issue on the customer to solve it with automatic payment.  I called the customer service today to ensure my phone could roam in the UK for $16/day only to learn that my phone was locked and has been that way for the past 15 years ever since I got the number.  My spouses phone was not an issue and we are on the same account.
To be honest the help i received was horrible and they basically did not help me at all, the only way to solve the problem was for me to authorize auto payment.  Apparently they have no way of over riding the system and there was nobody to escalate  this to.  I have been a mobility customer for many many years and I have never had a credit issue or even a late payment.  I have no idea how, when or why my number was locked out, they tried to suggest it was a credit rating issue which is nonsense! I was a 40 yr Bell employee and now Bell retiree and there is not or ever been a credit issue.

Is it true that the only way to solve this restrictions is for the customer to allow auto payment?

Good Day & thank you for posting your concern on the Bell Community Forum.

As you know, this is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account and billing records. I can totally understand your frustration & disappointment in the help you did not receive.

Can you share some further information with us so that we can better understand what happened? Are you on a monthly or pre-paid plan? You mentioned that your device was locked to Bell. Were you offered an explanation as why you could not activate Roaming? E.g. Bell's prepaid plans do not include roaming services, change of mobility plan, etc.

Prior to your trip, did you check to see if your device was unlocked? If you have an Apple phone purchased after January 1st, 2014 or any other make purchased after November 30th, 2017 and activated on the Bell Network, then your phone is already unlocked!

If your phone was purchased prior to either of those dates and an unlock is in order, then there are just a few things to check off: Unlock your Bell device

I cannot comment on this statement; ("Is it true that the only way to solve this restrictions is for the customer to allow auto payment?); without being privy to all of the account details.

I would suggest that contact Bell Mobility Customer Service during regular business hours and request to speak to a manager. A Bell Manager would be far better equipped & knowledgeable to answer your question.
