Good day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Which mobility plan do you subscribe to? Is this a Monthly plan or a Prepaid plan? Are you on a SmartPay 2 yr. rate plan? Have you reviewed your mobility agreement? Prepaid customers cannot temporarily suspend their mobile service.
Depending on your plan & your mobility agreement you may not be able to suspend your service.
We do not have access to your account or billing records on the the Bell Community Forum.
A suspension of your services does not equate to a stoppage in billing. A one-time suspension charge of $49 will be applied to your next bill. Monthly service charges will be prorated within 1–2 billing cycles.
Have you reviewed your mobility agreement?
I would normally suggest that you review your mobility agreement & contact Bell Mobility Customer Service. In your case, you mentioned that you have already done so & were advised that you can not suspend your service.
You can contact Bell Mobility once again & ask to speak to a manager for a further explanation. If you wish to do so, you can call Bell Mobility at: 1 800 667-0123 or *611 from any Bell mobile device.
Thank you for contacting the Bell Community Forum.
Take care.

I set up wifi in my trailer that we stay in from May 1-Oct31, and I was given a lower rate of 50 a month and then to put on hold from Nov. 1 - May 1st for a lower rate. I was told it would automatically go hold for the months mentioned above but it didn't and it actually went up by 5.00. Can someone please look into this for me.
Thanks
Betty H

Thank you for your question. You should have received a monthly bill for your suspended account. If not, check the statement and balance of your account on the MyBell web site or app. If there is a discrepancy, you will have to take that up with Bell directly at 1-866-310-2355.

Good Day.
I wish I could assist you in this matter, but I can not. Billing issues such as this can not be resolved on the Bell Community Forum. We do not have access to your account & billing information.
A temporary service suspension does not automatically go on hold unless you login & set up the suspension dates on your MyBell account & agree to the conditions. You should be able to check your current suspension by logging in to your MyBell account with any any web browser.
To resolve this issue, you will need to contact Bell Customer Service accounts & billing. I have included their contact information in this web link: Contact Bell | Bell Mobility, Internet, TV and Home phone | Bell Canada
You can temporarily suspend your TV, Internet and Home phone services when they are not needed by setting this up in your MyBell account.
This is completed by visiting MyBell and placing your request online. You can also verify if your Internet service is temporarily suspended by logging in to your MyBell account & viewing your account status. If you wish to remove your suspended service earlier, you can also do so from MyBell as well.
The following link will take you to the temporary suspension web location:
Set up a temporary service suspension
- Select the services to suspend.
- Choose your start and end dates.
- Select Continue.
- Review the request and select Submit.
You can only suspend your Internet services between one and six months. In your case you mentioned Nov. 1 - May 1. The suspension takes effect between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m. on the requested day.
A one-time suspension charge of $49 will be applied to your next bill. Monthly service charges will be prorated within 1–2 billing cycles. The amount depends on the dates when the suspension takes effect and when it ends. Monthly rental charges (for example if you rent-to-own a TV receiver) will continue to apply as per the terms of service.
Here is a link that will explain everything to you:
How to temporarily suspend my Bell residential services
Thank for posting your question.
Take care.

I am moving and have suspended my bell internet for the day I move. The only thing is I want to keep the modem for when I will be in my new apartment. I am subletting until the summer and need to put my modem in storage, is that possible?

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
This is a some what unusual request, as you will be moving. I do not see a problem with this just as long as the equipment & curent address remain in your name until moving day. You are still responsible for the equipment while your account is suspended until it is disconnected, returned and or transferred to your new apartment.
You should make sure that the subletting party understands this as well.
Take care.

Hi there @mathtyuiop. Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Are you moving immediately or moving out of the home and staying elsewhere for a bit then going to your new apartment? If you are moving immediately into the apartment from your current home you should place a move order. If you are staying elsewhere for a bit before moving into your new apartment, you may need to have the service cancelled and send back the modem and when you set up service again, a new modem will be provided. Should the new owners moving into where you're currently at choose to have Bell service, it will cause a conflict with your existing service still there.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Community

You will always need to keep your account current if you are still under contract. You would be best to set up automatic monthly payments to your Bell account to keep it current before you leave Canada. It is also possible that deactivating your SIM card will cause your phone to be locked, as you have not paid for it and is has a balance owing. It may also not work with another SIM card in another country. You would be best to call Account and Billing (*611) at Bell to discuss your options.
