Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Which mobility plan do you subscribe to? Is this a Monthly plan or a Prepaid plan? Are you on a SmartPay 2 yr. rate plan? Have you reviewed your mobility agreement? Prepaid customers cannot temporarily suspend their mobile service.

If you have a SmartPay 2-yr contract, you are still responsible for the monthly SmartPay payments even if your Bell Mobility service is suspended.

Depending on your plan & your mobility agreement you may not be able to suspend your service.

A suspension of your services does not equate to a stoppage in billing. A one-time suspension charge of $49 will be applied to your next bill. Monthly service charges will be prorated within 1–2 billing cycles.

In order to suspend or cancel your service, you will need to contact Bell Mobility. If you wish to do so, you can call Bell Mobility at: 1 800 667-0123 or  *611 from any Bell mobile device.

The following web link will be of assistance to you if you wish to suspend a service.

Good Day & Welcome

Thank you for posting your question.

There is no need or requirement for you to leave your satellite receivers plugged in at your cottage on a seasonal suspension.

When you return to your cottage, you should plug in your satellite TV receivers one day before your scheduled reactivation so that they can communicate with the service reactivation system.

If your channels don’t return after you reactivated your service, you may need to synchronize your programming.

Take care.

I require to suspend all serves from July 5th- July 30th. I cannot do this on My Bell webpage.

Temporary service suspension - MyBell

In order to initiate a temporary service suspension on MyBell, all of your Bell services that you wish to suspend must be linked to your MyBell account. If they are not linked then you can not temporarily suspend them in MyBell.

How to Temporary suspend services

From any web browser, Login to MyBell. On the main page you will see an area called Quick Links. Select > Temporary service suspension. This will open another screen which will show you all of your home services connected to MyBell. Choose your service selections, etc. > Select Continue > etc.

If you need further assistance you can contact Bell Customer Service Billing & payments at 1-866-310-BELL

As clearly stated. My Bell does not allow me to suspend my account. I have been told I can only request this if I am a month absent, which is ridiculous that I am paying for a service I am not using. All because I am five days shy of a month.

I want to travel to my home country for few months and want my number on suspension but I have one device on contract on this number which I want to continue as normal. But Bell customer service is saying that I have to pay my device in full before putting the number on suspension. Is there any other way that I continue my device contract and pay only number suspension fee.

Hello!
I have moved to the UK for the next 3 years and I’m looking to keep my phone number but get rid (or lower my payment) for my Canadian number. Anyone have any suggestions of what to do? I’d really like to come home in 3 years and get to use my same Canadian phone number!

I wish I could give you some sort of a solution, but unfortunately, there are not a lot of options available for you.

Seasonal suspensions are only good for 6 month. Three years is a long time. The only thing you can do is set up an account with minimum to no services. In order to retain your number, it must remain in service. You could setup a seasonal suspension each year for 6 months maximum each time. There would be an administrative charge, $49.

If you do choose to completely disconnect your services, including TV, Internet, Home phone & Mobility, you would loose your Bell email address if you have one. Bell is no longer providing email addresses on a going forward basis. The only way to maintain this to keep your mobility or internet active on suspension or connected.
