Hey there @Newuser311. Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.
That would be normal as the credit limit is monitoring that your account doesn't go over a certain amount, this includes what is currently owing and what is pending as well.

If your amount of credit used is greater than your credit limit, your Bell Mobility service will be suspended. To restore service, you’ll need to make payments until your credit used falls below your credit limit. The credit limit is removed automatically once you’ve paid six consecutive invoices in full and on time.

Method of Payment - Restoral of Suspension
Depending on your payment method, it may take a few days for service to be restored.
Credit card (on device, bell.ca, agent) - Within 30 minutes
Online/Telephone banking - 2-5 business days
Other providers - 2-5 business days
Cheque - Up to 10 business days
If you have a pre-authorized payment plan, payments are charged on a specific day each month. You may need to make a separate payment to restore service.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Bell, like many telecommunications companies, utilizes a credit limit program to manage customer accounts and reduce the risk of non-payment and bad debt by setting a ceiling on the amount of charges a customer can incur before payment. This program helps ensure that customers don't accrue excessive charges that they may be unable to pay, and it helps Bell manage its own financial exposure.
Essentially, the credit limit acts as a safeguard for both Bell and its customers, promoting responsible financial behavior and helping to maintain a healthy business relationship.
When you sign up for service with Bell, your account may be enrolled in the credit limit program, which gives you either a $200 or $300 spending limit. While in the program, your amount owing, including any usage we have not yet billed you for, must stay under the credit limit. This will keep your mobile phone service active. The credit limit is lifted from your account once you have made 6 consecutive monthly bill payments on time.
If your amount of credit used is greater than your credit limit, your Bell Mobility service will be suspended. To restore service, you’ll need to make payments until your credit used falls below your credit limit.
The credit limit is removed automatically once you’ve paid six consecutive invoices in full and on time. When this happens, we’ll let you know by sending a text message to your mobile phone.

I just recently got a plan with bell, they put me on a credit limit of 200. By the second day it said I had exceeded my limit. I used 1gb of data in that one day and made a few short calls. That was a few days ago. Now they have restricted my account and I am unable to make any calls. And my network is completely shut off, I can't use any data or text. My bill is still unavailable, I can't make a payment. What do I do?

There are other options for contacting Bell when your service has been suspended. Here are just a few:
Option 1. Login to MyBell from "Any Compiuter" that has internet, Wi-Fi, web service, etc.. On the main screen you will see One Bill in the blue shaded box area. On the right side of the screen, you will see your account balance for all of the services that you have linked to One Bill. You can select to view your current bill & any historical bills.
On the MyBell main screen you can also make a payment, view & change your pre-authorized methods of payment.
If you make a payment from this screen, your account balance will be updated once BELL has received the funds from your financial institution.
Option 2. Setup your Bell account as a payee for bill payment with your financial institution. This can be done on the financial institutions web site or in person by visiting their location
Option 3.. Pay your bill directly by visiting your financial institution. You will need a copy of your bill which includes your account information. This can be obtained on the MyBell site or by contacting Bell billing & accounts.
Option 4. Call Bell Mobility Customer service > accounts & billing: 1-800-667-0123 or *611 from any mobile device. They will assist you in providing details on your outstanding balance, options for payment, etc.

I just opened an account with Bell 2 days ago. I've been using mostly data. I have 30gb of data plan. But upon checking the Bell app, my credit limit decreases and my data usage hasn't. Please explain.

The amount of credit used is calculated by evaluating the following factors:
- Unbilled usage and charges: Unbilled usage includes the airtime, long distance, data and text messages you’ve used but we haven’t yet billed. Unbilled charges include any one-time fees (for example, activation fees or fees for changing your mobile phone number). Monthly rate plan charges are also applied against your credit limit.
- Current account balance: The overall amount of your latest bill.
- Taxes: Applicable taxes on unbilled usage and charges.
- Adjustments and payments: If adjustments have been made, and if payments have been applied to your account since your last bill, the amounts will be subtracted from your balance.
Please note that if your usage increases very quickly and you exceed your credit limit, your account may be suspended without warning. You can view your credit limit threshold and spending limit by logging in to MyBell. Keep in mind usage is updated daily on MyBell. It is not instantly updated at the very moment you use it.

If I am supposed to be paying $60 a month for services with bell, why do I need to have a credit limit that needs to be topped up? What are payments for then?
This wasn’t explained when I was getting the service set up.

Its 100 percent a scam. We pay our bill and they decide we owe them more money even though we paid our bill they just suspend us even though we havnt missed a payment they decide oh you owe credit because of usage what ever the hell that means i already paid my bill which is expensive enough they add additional credit fee that fluctuates all day. So what do i owe 1000 by the end of the month? I paid my bill it was saying 58 then the next day went to -13 it just jumps around all god week like how much of a scam is this. Why cant i just pay my regular bill and have my phone. Now i have to figure out what i can do with this phone cause im definatly not staying with bell

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum
Thank you for posting your concerns & comments.
As you know, this is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account and billing records.
We would like to assist in resolving this matter, but we are somewhat restricted on what we can offer up to you as a solution. If you can provide us with specifics, we will do our utmost best to answer any questions you might have.
- Are you on a credit limit program?
- Is so have you exceeded you credit limit?
- Have you been paying your monthly bill on time over the previous 6 months?
If your amount of credit used is greater than your credit limit, your Bell Mobility service will be suspended. To restore service, you’ll need to make payments until your credit used falls below your credit limit.
Have you discussed your outstanding bill with Bell Mobility Customer Service Accounts & Billing? If not, then I can only suggest that you do so. They will provide you with the complete details & a full explanation of your current bill, your outstanding balance, & options for payment, etc.
Please call: 1-800-667-0123 or *611 from any mobile device.
