9500 audio issue while using RCA cables

My box I have for two years , when using red , white , yellow audio port I have on the box I have had like static or interference using it while watching things , I use my digital port no problem with audio . It hooked into an amp and could tell there a problem with my red , white , yellow audio does my box need replacement then.

Thank you for reaching out to the community. Yes you can use either. You just cannot use both without expecting some form of interference, static & degradation of sound & video. RCA is not optical or HDMI. I suspect you are picking up what is called bleeding interference that is emulating from the RCA cables.

Try removing the cables in their entirety. What do you get?

I do not believe it has anything to do with your 9500 Whole Home PVR.

What is the make and model of your TV? Have you looked in to connecting your amplifier as an external sound output in your TV audio settings?

Thanks , yes I will try optical for sure I have had no problem with optical .yes for sure have done . It sounding better for sure
