Every 30 minutes, my Bell 4K VIP5662W goes to standby/inactivity mode. This happens when I'm watching live TV or PVR recorded shows. This only happens when I am viewing via the Bell box - other sources do not display this behaviour, and my TV is set to not sleep,
Online help says to press MENU/Settings/Preferences/Inactivity Duration. I can get to MENU/Settings/ but I don't see a Preferences option, or an Inactivity Duration option.
Thank you in advance for your help

Hi there @Stevo1
Does this happen after 4 hours of not touching the remote or does it always happen at the same time even if you've used the remote within 4 hours? If there is no activity on the remote after 4 hours, the receiver goes into standby mode.

Hi All,
I believe I have finally solved this, or I'm onto a solid way forward. When I turn on my Samsung TV, it's via the Bell remote. The TV has a "boot-up" menu on the bottom of the screen, and in the background it displays the Bell messaging (new show ad, press Select to start, etc). I now wait until the TV has completely dismissed its boot-up menu and the Bell box displays "press Select" BEFORE I actually press Select on the Bell remote. (In the past, I would press Select as soon as I could see anything). Since I have adopted this approach, my TV generally does not shut off automatically after 30 minutes - yay! I've had a few failures, so there's still a bit of a timing issue, but it works about 9 times out of 10. I hope this can be of help to others with a similar problem.
