Bell Satellite TV guide (missing channels)

Looking to see if anyone else is experiencing a similar issue as what I'm seeing and if anyone might know why or how to fix it.  Since the move of all channels from 82W to 91W I seem to have a reduced number of channels on the guide (all channels) on all my recievers. Even though I have basic service I use to be able to see all channels on the guide even if they were ones I did not suscribe to.  For example I can no longer see any of the TSN channels on the guide to mention only a few.  I have already did a check switch and can see all transponders on 91W.  Any thoughs on why this is happening?

Thanks

@BellNick I am having a similar problem with stations that I AM subscribed to. Called in to have programming syncronized. The channels reappeared and then later on they are missing again. The ones I have noticed in particular are the West feeds (Timeshift) for ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS. There may be others that I haven't noticed seeing that I don't know them all by heart. Those 5 channels do not appear in the guide where they used to be channels 12xx for HD.

More info: The receiver is the 9241. There are missing channels that I am subscribed to no matter which guide display option is used. I called Bell to syncronize the programming as I seem to have the limit to do it through my account online. Before calling I tried reset on the front panel and no change. While I was on the phone with Bell agent he had me unplug the receiver and then plug back in. Then we ran check switch and let it go through that process and after it downloaded the program guide information the channels that I had noticed were missing were then appearing in the guide. Shortly after that though they were gone once again. I just took a look at the guide and see that they do show up as channels 287-291 but they are greyed out.

I think there are also some channels that I'm not subscribed to that are not appearing in the guide (All Channels Guide) as well. I am not 100% sure of this as I don't know all the possible channels by heart but it seems to me that there used to be more of them.

@Satellite TV User   Unfortunately I haven’t found a solution yet.  I have multiple receivers 3 different models and all exhibit the same issue since what appears to be the move of all channels to 91W.

Which receiver models do you have? That information may be helpful in understanding your issue.

I have 6500, 9500 and 9241 models.  All exhibit the same issue.  All connected via DPP twin LNB and SW44 switch.

I spent a long time yesterday with technicians describing how my service suddenly deleted several channels that I subscribe to mid show (while watching & recording).  They promised to get back to me but haven’t heard anything so far (more than 24 hours).  My sister had same issues but different channels & in another City.

seriously annoyed

Hi @Londongirl
Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.
We wanted to check in to see if you're still experiencing issues with your stations not appearing? If so, have you verified if you are subscribed to them within your programming?
Have you checked to ensure the channels were not on a free preview that has ended?
Are you able to share examples of the impacted stations?
Can you share which receiver model you have?
Looking forward to hearing back.

I also have lost a number of channels I subscribe to on all of my receiver's, 9241’s and 9242’s. I have completed the unplug the receivers, hard reboots, test splitter to download a new guide, synchronize the receivers and nothing has worked. After reading the above posts I find it hard to believe all of the hard drives or hardware on all of my receivers fail at the same time.

Did Bell just drop HD channels? Specifically some local CTV channels, I am missing CTV-Winnipeg HD to start with.

Using 9242 receivers. No changes were made to the line up by me and the channel was there yesterday.

I’m having the same issue with not receiving any of the channels that are in my subscription. I have a 9500 and tried the channel resync via the app and a hard reboot. Nothing is helping!

Also, my 9242's don't have cards

CMT - 575 has disappeared on my 9241 sat rec

Good Day.

Which Bell Satellite TV package do you subscribe to? Please verify that Channel 575 - CMT is included in your subscription by logging in your MyBell account.

If this channel is included as part of your subscription, try:

  1. Synchronize your programming: Sync your programming online. Simply follow the onscreen instructions or call 1 866 337-4617 to synchronize your programming by phone 24/7.
  2. Note: Once you have completed the reactivation process, it takes an average of 15 minutes before you can view or record programming. In some cases, it may take up to two hours. While this is taking place, you may see an error message on your TV screen.
  3. Reset your receiver: On most models, simply hold the POWER button on the front of your receiver for 5 to 8 seconds and then allow it to reset the satellite signal.
  4. If the problem persists, please contact Bell Satellite TV Tech support at: 1 888 759-3474

I can't access some of the channels that I've subscribed to : Why am I missing channels?

Take care.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, of course it's part of my programming. The channel just completely disappeared it wasn't even appearing in the guide anymore. I tried the self sync option but wasn't allowed because you're only allowed to do it x amount of times in 30 days even though I hadn't done it in many months. I finally contacted support they synced it for me and it came back.

Thanks again for your reply.

I turned on the satelite TV yesterday November 7 and found that the discovery channel is gone again. What happened?
