Hi all, this might be a long shot question… I got myself an older 5.1 amp, a denon AVR-1912.
Im going cat cable into setup box -> hdmi into amp -> hdmi into TV, how can I control the amp volume with the slim Bell remote? Doing a remote search doesnt work. If I use stereo output inside Bell TV it will work (Bell volume 0-25), but that doesnt control anythin if its in 5.1, how so?
Thanks for any help!

Simple answer is that you can’t. I have two Sony TV’s with Sony amps. The Bell satellite receiver remote will turn the Sony TV’s on and off and the Sony amp remote turns the amp on and off. I went to a Logitech Harmony remote which turns the amp and the TV on and off but is a pain to set up and has some strange quirks.

Hi there @FMenard6,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Could you please share some information so we can better assist?
- Which television receiver model do you have?
- Does stereo mode on your amp work?
Looking forward to hearing back.

The Bell Fibe remote only connects to one device. How can I get it to control (turn off and on) both devices. I have a Samsung TV and Denon amplifier.

I have switched from Ignite to Fibe TV. My Ignite remote paired with my non-bluetooth NAD receiver for volume control. It had a screen where I could select a specific company (NAD) and then paired the device. Fibe TV just searches for Blue Tooth devices. Is there a way to pair the sound receiver to the Fibe remote?

Same here Ignite to Fiber... well that's annoying... a step backwards if you ask me. Probably means I need a new remote control with blue tooth??
