Do you subscribe to internet through us? If so, which service and package do you subscribe to? Sorry, no.
What device are you experiencing this issue on and does it affect multiple devices? Only my computer.
When trying to access the Fibe TV app are you using any VPN on your device? Yes (unknowingly) and THAT was the problem!  Thanks for asking as I wouldn't have thought to check that.

Cause there was an outage. Tonight occasionally, my tv app loaded the video much slower than usual.

Does that error message mean a time out or too long to load then?

It doesn’t matter. Notifying Bell is the only thing you could do.

Hey there @pamic, thanks for your post and welcome to the Bell Community.

Can you clarify if you are using the Fibe TV app (which device are you using), or accessing Fibe TV through a receiver? If using a receiver please share which one.

Are you seeing this error on multiple devices/receivers or just one?

If you are still experiencing any trouble we recommend that you run our Virtual Repair toolOpens in a new tab or window

The Virtual repair tool will:

  • Look for service outages in your area
  • Check the equipment outside your home
  • Reboot all your hardware
  • Optimize the settings for your service

Using the fibe TV app on my laptop

Thank you for clarifying that @pamic.

Are you still having trouble?

If so please try out the suggestions above, and let the Community know how everything goes.

Hello!

my bell fivetv app is working when I use my data to stream (with Telus) when I use my wifi nothing seems to load and I can’t watch anything. The same is true with crave. I’m getting error 1009p/18.

no problems with Disney+, prime or Netflix on my wifi.

Hey there @AMH, thanks for your post and welcome to the Bell Community.
Just checking in to see if you're still having trouble.

If you are, can you share the device you're using (make/model), and if this happens on multiple devices while connected to your home Wi-Fi? Are you watching live TV or a recording?

We recommend trying out the Virtual repair tool that we mentioned in the thread above, reboot your device, and then test to see if the same error pops up.

Keep the Community posted.

I used to be able to watch Fibre TV with being a Bell Satellite customer, but today I am getting this message 1009m/18.  Chat tech support says I am not using the correct browser.  I have tried the latest of Edge, Chrome and Firefox.  None work, but it used to work.  I have turned off any ad blockers.  So now what, I am being told I am not using the correct, latest browser, yet I am.  Now what do I do??

I cannot use the "Virtual Repair Tool" because I am not a Fibre TV customer (as per message that appears when trying), but I am a Satellite TV customer who can use Fibre TV.

Hi there @thecdnmole
Do you subscribe to internet through us? If so, which service and package do you subscribe to?
What device are you experiencing this issue on and does it affect multiple devices?
When trying to access the Fibe TV app are you using any VPN on your device?
We would also recommend trying to uninstall the app and reinstall it to see if that resolves the concern.
Looking forward to hearing back.
