Formula 1 is one of the largest sports in the world, has been for decades. It is right up there with Soccer (football) and cricket.
While it has not historically been as popular in North America, it far outranks Hockey, Football, baseball, and most others in terms of global footprint, and its growing rapidly in Canada and the USA.
Can someone explain to me how and why the programming guide for a company like Bell repeatedly gets the guide wrong, sometimes in terms of times, most often programming titles? How can you possibly call the Sau Paulo Sprint Race a "pre-Qualifying" session in the guide? Do you have unpaid interns doing your guide for you? Clearly it can not be anyone that knows even the first thing about F1. You would hardly set up the SuperBowl as a "NFL Team Warm Up" session in your guide. Would not dare get that wrong, or call the Stanley Cup Final a Pre-Game Show, but for F1, it happens frequently.
Here's the thing, and I'm certain I am not alone on this. I am often away on a Saturday, therefore I set up the sessions to record in advance and watch later. Problem is, if the name in the guide is incorrect when the recording is set up, then Bell subsequently realizes it and corrects it (frequent), it cancels my recording as the title I set up no longer exists. What is the point of having a guide detailing future programming and a PVR that can be programmed to record future programs if simple quality control for a simple task breaks down the whole system?
FYI - F1 race dates and times are set over a year in advance. They are published over a year in advance. They are readily available on the official F1 website. Weekend schedules are quite detailed and include proper event names and scheduled times in both local and race country times, a year in advance. F1 is religious about their protocols and event schedules. Everything is down to the second, a year in advance. A half wit with Google can get it right in 30 seconds, but Bell can't? Seriously?
Can Bell fix this and get it right in the future?

Thank you for your concern. Bell does not create their program guides. They use information which each channel provides to them. If that information changes, the guide changes and you have the situation you describe. Your concern is best directed to the originating network. Bell is simply the delivery channel, not the program provider. The issue is not Bell’s to fix.
