How to troubleshoot or replace remote

Hi .   My remote for fibe suddenly stopped working. When I press the power button nothing lights up. I changed to batteries twice and used the different sets in different other devices so I know the batteries work. At first when I changed the batteries the red light for Bell displayed but then stopped after a couple tries.   The remote will no longer activate the TV for fibe.

Good Day.

Which Smart TV make and model do you have? Try removing the input device & installing it once again. I may be wrong, but everything you have mentioned leads me to believe that your remote is not paired correctly to match the model of TV that you have. Have you contacted the manfacturer? E.g. Samsung, LG, etc.

Take care.

Hello, many thanks for your suggestion. Sadly it did not work. By the way, they both used to work, all of a sudden both stopped.

My remote control dropped on floor by accident and now it doesn’t work.  Can I get a replacement?  Only the remote

I have changed the batteries twice in the remote. Ut only works if I stand in front of the TV with it.

Good Day.

Can you please provide with a few more details so that we can better answer your question?

  1. Which Bell TV service do you subscribe to? Fibe TV, Fibe TV App or Satellite TV
  2. Which model of Bell TV receiver is connected to your TV?
  3. Other than the signal range, are you experiencing any other remote problems?
  4. Does your remote have a clear sight path to your TV & Bell receiver? Is there anything blocking the front or TV or receiver that could obstruct the signal?
  5. Is it the TV or Bell receiver that is experiencing the remote-control signal problem?
  6. Which remote control are you experiencing the signal issue with? Is it an IR remote? E.g. Bell Slim remote, Bell Streamer, etc.

IR remotes use light pulses to send signals, requiring a direct line of sight and typically having a shorter range. Bluetooth remotes utilize radio waves, offering greater range, the ability to work through walls, and often supporting two-way communication. Infrared (IR) and Bluetooth remotes differ primarily in their transmission method and operational characteristics.
