My secondary FIRE tv on the first floor of my house was running slow because my modem was in the basement. The tv in our basement runs fine. I was using two pods on the upstairs tv to try & get a quicker response from the startup of my Bell screen. We had a rain storm this morning & the internet went out for a few seconds. The two pods started flashing white but the strange thing is the secondary tv is working faster now & no blue Bell logo shows up. Everything on the tv screen is popping up a lot faster. I took out the pods from the electric sockets, waited awhile & no change. What happened & do I need the pods anymore?

Good Day.
A very good question. I can not speak for why your Internet speed has increased. I can only speculate that your speed improved as a direct result of what was connected & accessing the internet after your power was restored & your modem restarted.
Have you tried running a modem speed test? Speed tests measure your current connection's maximum speed – how fast your device can upload and download information – by accessing nearby test servers.
A power outage or a restart of your modem can fix some Internet connection problems. It can also improve slow connections, and resolve common wireless issues.
Bell Wi-Fi pods do not increase your speed or bandwidth. Bell Wi-Fi pods continuously optimize your network based on when and where your devices access the Internet in your home. This helps ensure they always get the strongest signal.
After installing a pod, or any time you unplug one, E.g. storm, power outage, etc., it may take up to 24 hours to fully complete the optimization process.
I would wait a bit longer before making the decision to return them to Bell. If they are not needed, then there is no added value in keeping them. That is a decision you will need to ultimately make.
Take care.
