Logging into google account with fibe tv

I cannot log into my google account on fibe tv - says ‘something went wrong’. Tried several times. Apparently I can’t search the guide without linking to my google account. 
why is it not simple to search the guide? Using voice remote with no search button on it

What type of device are you using? Can you share a photo of the error message?

Hi there

It happens when I try to do the 2 step verification - the notification pops up on youtube, I click on it and then I get the error message.

I read that Samsung tvs other than some from 2020, 2021 and 2022 will no longer connect to google assistant

any suggestion on how to search the guide without it?

Thanks for your reply.

Can you please clarify if you are connecting your Google account to Bell Fibe TV app directly on your Smart TV, or are you accessing through a Fibe TV receiver?

Are you able to login to your Google account from any other device?

If you are still having trouble we recommend a factory reset of your equipment. Then when prompted to sign in with your Google account be sure to use the email address and password that is associated with your Google account.

I am using the settings in the Fibe receiver.

Let us know if you are still having trouble after doing a Factory reset. You can easily do a Factory reset by pressing the small Multifunction button on the side of your receiver, and then select Factory reset from the menu.
