My Satellite receiver reboots randomly

I have 6131 receiver with an external HD. Over the last week it has started to shutdown and reboot while in use. I have unplugged both the receiver and HD for a full reboot, but it is still happening. Has anyone else experienced this, know why it’s happening or how to correct this problem?

Hey there @Frustrated2022. Welcome to the Bell Community.

We wanted to check in to see if you had a chance to review our questions posted above.

One thing to consider is that if the receiver is located in an enclosed area it could overheat and cause the equipment to reboot periodically.

We also recommend that you reboot the equipment (unplug it from the power source for a minute and plug it back in). As well, please check all of the cables to ensure they are not damaged, or loose.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hey @PB68. Thanks for your post.

That would be very inconvenient, and the Community wants to help.

Can you confirm if it is the receiver or the hard drive that is rebooting?

Have you tried disconnecting the hard drive to see if that makes a difference?
