Restart option does not appear on guide. How do I get it back? I have already rebooted the receiver.

Hello,
Once again I lost the Restart feature ,so I used the virtual repair tool and it did not work. It did do a firmware update and now the home phone does not work and there is no dial tone. Internet and tv do work, restart returned after rebooting the reciever about 6 times , my other 2 recievers (2502) never lost Restart .

Good Day.
Sounds like a hardware failure. If you still have this issue after completing the steps you mentioned, you should contact Bell Fibe TV tech support in order for them to do some further testing on your receiver. They will need to reset your home phone service & possibly change out your modem. Please call: 1 866 797 8686.

Glad to hear your Restart is currently functioning. In regards to your home phone, we'd recommend checking out and replying on our ongoing thread titled No dial tone on Home phone
.Please try any troubleshooting suggestions listed and provide us much information as possible that you can (modem model, error codes / messages, are cords all good, etc..)

The restart feature all of a sudden disappeared from the guide. The Restart sign is no longer in the guide. I spoke to the tech support and they were not helpful, they said that they had an update of PVR and it may be related to this. Why did this feature disappear? And how can we watch past programs now?

Restart is still there....the iconography has changed.
2 things to look for:
1. Where the channel number/name is, any channel with the restart feature will appear with a back arrow, while those without will show as a simple rectangle.
2. Any restartable program will have an arrow with a circle around at the end of the program block.

No. It's not there. No arrows on the channel name, no arrows in circle on the program. I tried multiple channels it's not available.

Unfortunately, it didn’t last. The Restart feature disappeared again and the reboot doesn’t help. What is my next step? Replace the receiver?

They are still trying to do something on their end. I decided to wait a few days. Did you have the same problem with the Restart feature? Or something else??
