I have a recurring problem of signal loss with recording channel 817 on Friday nights at 8:00 PM Mountain time. Recording works otherwise for 817 and all other channels. Signal loss watching live is exceedingly rare and hasn't happened at that time. I have gone through all the usual troubleshooting with Bell including recent replacement of my 9500 PVR. The recording failed last night at the 2 minute mark. I was able to record the last 41 minutes after rebooting my PVR.

That’s interesting. Good luck!
Yes they do, but usually only after two days. I always contact live agents directly to get things rolling ASAP.

Hi Alex. I should have mentioned I live in Alberta. Here 817 is CBSHE a time-shift channel. As a test, I've set up 1212 CBSHW to record the same show later on Friday night. My wife is missing her dose of Blue Bloods. 🙂

I see. Sounds like the feed somehow got messed up. It’s not a few seconds of pixelization then switching to a Canadian feed, right? It’s best to contact Bell to make a report via a live agent no matter what the message appears during outage, cause even if Bell is aware of the problem, someone can show Bell that people care by flagging the hiccups.
Btw that channel still isn’t listed in the online pdf either. It’s best to say brand name+location, like PBS Vermont. The codes you mentioned are bell specific, so people outside your area won’t know. CBSHW is ok as long as people are with Bell, but sometimes non-timeshift OTA channels don’t even appear on the guide at all.

Thx for your attention to my issue Alex. I think you have led me to what may be the root cause. I looked at the online listing of my channels on My Bell. There is no channel 817 in the list even though I get a signal on it. CBSHE (WBZ-TV Boston) is instead on 1202.
I have deleted the scheduled event on 817 and created a new one on 1202. I will see if it works next Friday evening.
Does Bell monitor Community posts? Or do I have to report my findings to them directly?
