Hi.  I want to plug an external hard drive into my 9400 pvr.  I cannot find an external hard drive that meets the requirements.  I checked online. went to a store and even did chat with customer service.  Any suggestion on external hard drives that I can plug into my 9400 pvr?  Thank you in advance.

Good Day and Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Many major external hard drive brands are compatible. The minimum requirements are:

  • 7200 RPM rotation speed
  • Between 50 GB and 2 TB of capacity
  • Holds a single hard drive (enclosures holding two disks are not supported)
  • Plugs into an AC power outlet
  • USB 2.0 connection
  • No sleep mode (cannot power down when idle)

E.g. Western Digital My Passport 2.0 TB 7200 USB 2.0, WD Elements, Seagate, Portable, etc. These and many others are available on Amazon, Best Buy, etc. Most USB 3.0 HD are backward compatible.

Take care.
