Why were free preview channels list no longer available?

Are you able to share which television service you subscribe to and which receiver model you have?
Have you tried rebooting your equipment?

my receiver is approx 2013 model with bell satellite tv basic package, guide on channels 195 and 274 said no longer available, as is 586 Leamington ctv. I don't see how rebooting (how?) would help if channels are clearly not available anymore. Are you implying that those channels are still functioning?

Thank you for your concern. The current Satellite TV Basic package (now called Starter) includes CTV Windsor on channel 585. This is available to you if you live in southwestern Ontario. I do not live there so 585 is not in my guide listing. I have another local CTV station instead. You do not say where you are living, but Bell has been localizing stations available in their packages for several years. Some can be added on an a la carte basis though. 

I also see that Channels 195 and 274 are not available to me, either. They are not listed in the guide on my receiver. I noticed other changes, too. This may be related to upcoming service changes Bell has announced. The current list of channels in Free Preview can be found here. Some are Fibe TV only and some are Satellite TV. 

Finally, to reboot your receiver, hold the power button down for more than five seconds and release it. I usually hold it for a count of eight. The receiver will go dark and then start the reboot cycle, including downloading an updated guide. This can take up to ten minutes.

Thank you for posting your question. Bell Satellite is available in the following packages: Good, Better, Best & Starter packages. I could not find a Basic package.

Game TV 274 is available in the Good, Better & Best packages. It is not available in the Starter package.

CFTV Leamington, ON, 586 is not available as a residential Bell Satellite TV station. It is listed as a channel on Bell Satellite - Business in the Good package.

I could not find a listing for Channel 195 in any of the packages.

Channel 195 used to be the free preview list channel. This channel was removed back in March and is no longer available.

Based on our programming list channel 586 is indeed CFTV Leamington (if living within the area).

Channel 274 is GameTV. Are you subscribed to this station? You can view a list of all the stations you're subscribed to through your MyBellaccount. Once logged into your MyBell account you would select the "View channel line-up" button and then select "View all my channels".
