Bill due date - How long do I have to pay my bill?

What is this?
I got an email on Feb 6th saying my bills due.

The invoice says it's due by Feb16?

10 days to pay my bill? Now I'm late. Hope I don't get charged interest.

What the heck? Aren't most bills due like 30 days after you receive them? Very silly you send an invoice and want the money in 10 days.

Please fix.

Good Day.

"There is no lag time when paying online with credit card." I will leave that up to you & your financial institution and / or credit card company to discuss.

Bell processes all payments upon receipt.

Technically speaking, your account is not overdue if Bell receives your bill payment from your financial institution or credit card company within 30 days after the billing date on your bill.

How you pay your bill and when you pay it, are within your circle of influence. The chart I included in my earlier reply is only a reference point for you to use. It is intended to allow you sufficient time to pay your bill by the due date.

Take care.

Can anybody tell me the due date for December billing

Thank you for your question. You due date is individual to you. Check your previous bill on the MyBell web page or all to see your due date for last month. Please allow several days for payment to be processed, as well.

If my bill is due on the 20th and I check on the 19th in my bell app...my account says that my bill is overdue and I should pay immediately. Why?

I can’t comment on specific billing maters other than to suggest that given billing payment lag times of 3-5 days, your account will be overdue even if you were to pay it immediately.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

Bell must receive your processed payment within 30 days after your due date. How you pay it & & when you pay it are factors that you must consider when paying your bill!

Your account is overdue if your bill payment has not been received & credited to your account within 30 days after the billing date on your bill.

Bell must receive your processed payment within 30 days after your due date. How you pay it & & when you pay it are factors that you must consider when paying your bill!

This is you due date.

Bell issues your bill each & every month with the same billing date. This date does not change from month to month. If you log into MyBell and check your billing history, you will notice that the billing date is the same each & every month. Your bill is always due 30 days after this date!

Your account is credited when Bell receives the funds from your financial institution. This timeline can vary from 1 - 18 days. The chart I have included in this reply is only a reference point for you to use. It is intended to allow you sufficient time to pay your bill by the due date.

How long does it take for my Bell payment to be processed?

Hopefully this has been of assistance in answering your question.

Take care.

If Bell doesn’t receive payment for your bill within 30 days of the bill date, you will be charged late payment fees as follows:

  • 3% monthly (42.58% per annum)

This information is taken directly from the Bell Canada website. The 10 day grace period is simply a suggested timeframe, and the 10 day. Is used for any automatic payments

Welsh terrier, your information is mostly correct. For payments we initiate, we have 30 days
For payments initiated through an automatic payment system, the grace period is 10 days

I received notification via email on Dec 12 that my e-Bill is ready. Today, Dec 16, I received an email that Bell has not received my payment yet and late payment charge will be added if not paid by Dec 29. This is the first time I have received a reminder email. So you expect payment immediately now? I have never been late with a payment. I do not need reminding.

Yes. Me too. My bill is due DECEMBER 30 and I got a "reminder" on December 18 reminding me about the payment date. .??? I've been a loyal Bell customer since the 70's and have never once been late on payments. I actually always pay several days before the due date. Bell seems to be just one more money-grabbing corporate bully. May switch companies in the near future.

I had my service started April 1st 2025 with the hope that a month later I could pay bill in time. I received Ontario disability support payments which are direct deposit in my account will last banking day of the month. That's why I had my service set for the first of the month. Well 6 days later to 7th of April I received my first bill and notification that it was due 3 weeks later on the 24th of April just days before my disability was scheduled to be direct deposited. Promptly on the last banking date of the month of April I paid and my bill which didn't matter anyways cuz at that point I was already in the books for a late payment even though it hadn't even been a month since my service had been connected for 3 weeks  Now I've been on this vicious cycle ever since I'm going to pay my bill on the last banking day of the month which is on Friday January 28th or 29th and then by the time I do that a week later this bill is going to come out in 3 weeks later this bill is going to be due a couple of days 3 4 days maybe 5 days my disability is direct deposit into my account and I'm a month behind and overdue yeah again yet we can pay on time every freaking month. I have heard of bills being due at the end of the month and Bill is being due in the middle of the month but not a week before the end of the month so by the time I pay my to pay my bill I am in the red book for late payments even in his I pay every month the same time the same day of the month which is the last banking day of the month I can somebody help me figure out how to fix this cuz this is really damaging my credit

Good Day & Welcome

Bell bills are due 30 days after the billing date, which remains consistent each month. Payments made after the due date are accepted but may not be reflected on your next bill. Late payment fees may apply for payments received after 30 days from the billing date. Bell updates payment information on their system once they receive the funds from your financial institution, which can take varying amounts of time. When & how you pay your monthly bill are within your circle of influence & are not predetermined & set out by Bell.

You cannot change your payment date. You can however change your billing date. By changing your billing date, this will automatically change your bill due date. It is not recommended that you change your billing date, however if you so desire, you can do so.

Should you choose to change your billing date from the current billing cycle, this change will result in proration in the following invoice.

If you wish to change your billing date, you will need to contact Bell Customer Service Billing & Orders: - 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or #611 from any Bell mobile device.
