Channels won't load: Fibe TV App on Hisense Google TV

The Fibe TV App on my Hisense Google TV is not loading any streams.  The App opens with no issues and I can see the channel guide and everything works, but when you select something to play - It flash a black screen for a couple of seconds and then goes back to the selection screen.  This has worked with no issues for the last year and everything else works fine.  YouTube, Netflix, Disney, Plex, all load and work fine to watch anything with no issues

I have uninstall and reinstalled - cleared cache - I have done just about everything short of resetting the TV to factory defaults - oh and the TV is connected by ethernet and not Wifi

Anyone know if their are logs that can be generated or accessed to see if something is crashing?

I am pretty good with most tech stuff, but this has me stumped

Anyone see this before and have a suggestion?

Try resetting your TV I did that and then the bell app worked again

Hi there @Jim007

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell community 🙂

We are here for you and happy to help in any way that we can.

You mentioned 'I have done all the standard stuff but no luck'; can you please clarify what troubleshooting steps you have already tried?

A few suggestions you can try on your Hisense TV:

  • Fully power off the TV (unplug 2 minutes, not standby).
  • Make sure your TV OS up to date.
  • Ensure the Bell Fibe TV app is also updated.
  • Clear the apps cache and data
  • Perform a factory reset on the TV.

When it comes to the second issue that you mentioned regarding the black screen appearing on your 7802 we recommend that you disable HDMI‑CEC on the TV set. You can also try a different HDMI port and a different HDMI cable (certified High Speed).

I had the exact same problem on my smart tv with built in FireTV.

Tried uninstall, reinstall, clear the cache, clear the data, re register etc. Everything . No joy. Other TV s with firestick were working fine.

Rebooted Wifi Modem. Nada!

Finally, Pulled the power plug. Two minutes. Reboot. Voila! Fixed.

Still no idea what caused it or why!

TV internal cache overload?

Who knows!

Next time it goes LaLa I will just cut the power!

Thanks for your question. How are you accessing the internet? Bell fibre or another provider? Have you downloaded the latest version of the Fibe TV app? Is that causing the problem?

I'm having the same issues in the same tv and app using bell fibe wifi. Did you find a solution?

Hi @Nkm88
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Have you checked to ensure your television firmware is up to date?
Have you attempted to uninstall the Fibe TV app from your television and reinstall it?
Is your television connected via Wi-Fi or ethernet connection and have you tested both to see if the issue persists?
Looking forward to hearing back.

I have the same issue with the my Hisense Google TV any solution

I have try all the above except ethernet connection but that would not be possible because i would need to run a cable through half of the house.

Hi there @Frank77
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Are you able to share which television model number you have and what firmware version you have?
Does this happen on all channels, specific channels?
Does this occur with On Demand content?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Hi it happens with all content, once i press it flickers and return to where i was it those not launch the content.

Modell number : I can't find it but it a Hisense smartTV 4k google tv

Software vervion : V0011.01.00T.O0711

Hi there @Frank77
Thanks for the information. We'd like to investigate into this further, but we'll require the model number of the television. You should be able to find this information on a sticker located on the back of the television.

Model is 65A68H

Hi @Frank77
Can you clarify what you had meant by it returns you back? When the screen goes black and takes you 'back', is it taking you back to the guide or somewhere else?

per example if i am on the guide and i press to watch it flickers black then it return to guide where i was on the show i wanted to watch.

I have the exact same issue, with a different google smart TV a TCL.. I think we've found the common denominator thought google devices. mine is plugged in to Ethernet

I don't think that's it necessarily. I didn't have that problem with my Pixel 6 nor my new pixel 10. I can use the fibe tv app on my phone with no issues and cast on to the TV.

Casting does work but that launches a completely different app to be clear I meant Google TV devices
