Can I use a contempra with Bell Home Phone?

Hi there!

I've been clearing out the home of an elderly relative and I've come across a Contempra telephone. For those of you born in the 1970s and earlier, you'll remember this phone.  For those who are younger, google it.

This one has touch tone, so I think it should work however I was wondering whether Bell Home Phone (through my Gigahub) provides enough voltage to make the bell ring when there's an incoming call.

I am not currently at home, so I thought I'd ask before packing this phone up and taking it with me.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you are correct,  It won’t work. The Contempra requires copper wireline voltage to ring, which is not available through the Giga Hub modem. And yes, I remember that phone.

Thanks @dks.  I had a feeling that was the case.  I think I'll bring it home anyway...the other phones in the house will ring, and I'll look . cool using the contempra...well, I think I'll look cool!
