Hey there @SneakOdyssey

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community.

Does your device have the location services turned ON?

Typically, you will see ads in the language that you have set in your language preferences and also based on previous viewing habits/history.

Hey there @onethumbbaker,

Thanks for reaching out to the Bell Community.

Can you please clarify what type of ads you are referring to?

I too am getting this. I was with Rogers previously and never had French ads on youtube - and since switching our home internet to Bell - all of the sudden the ads we're seeing are French.

We're not signed into youtube - and before switching the ads were all English. We don't speak French and never watch French content.

Are Bell's IP's associated with an area in quebec or something?

Hi @BellPatricia ,

so we did check that thinking the language of YouTube may have changed - but it's still set to English and Canada. This is noticeable on the AppleTV we use, as we block ads in-browser on our laptops.

We never watch French content - and nothing has changed apart from our ISP. We use our own router - and I simply replaced the Rogers modem with the Bell modem - and within a day all the ads became French.

Youtube settings within the app are set to Canada and English, and the Apple TV is also set to Canada and English - and the Timezone is set to Toronto on the Apple TV. Again, nothing different from what it was before switching providers from Rogers to Bell.
