Had new bell five 1.5gbps installed with homehub 4000 / gigahub router
i can no longer cast to my TV with airplay from my iPhone or MacBook. Not able to google cast to nest hub either. I’m assuming it has to do with gigahub router. Anyone have any solutions to this? Should I split wifi to 5ghz and 2.4ghz to see if either works? Any pros or cons to doing this?

If they are both on the same network, they should work. That being said, make sure you don't have isolation turned on for WiFi devices, because that will prevent them from communicating with each other.
Also don't use the Guest Wi-Fi network for any of those devices, and ensure signal strength is high for all airplay devices. Poor signal strength will lead to poor performance.
Without some more information on the exact setup it's a bit hard to troubleshoot.

That’s weird. I just checked my modem comes with the 1.5 Gbps plan for the first time, it shows all three frequencies are on. 2.4, 5 & 6. But I live in a relatively new but small condo.
Just a reminder: Bell’s tv service has the highest pic quality on tv than any other platforms, even if you set the option to the highest. Unlike airplay from iOS devices or chromecast from phones, the tv would mirror the MacBook’s screen, so it’s in inferior pic quality.

Hi ,
Switch to that Giga hub couple days ago and it's only problems after problems since then.
Can't use Airplay anymore. Tried during at least 2 hrs in the chat. The bell tech tried to separate 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz. I tried to connect everything on the 2.4 without succes and then 5.0 withtout succes and then reboot and reboot again.
The Bell tech ( Jalal ) then told me that the problem was in my house. Told him everything was fine with my 3000 modem. He told me he'll have to call me back after i asked him to help me put my 3000 modem back in place.
He never called back....
i was tired of trying to make my airplay work and bought a Firestick Max. The fire stick is now connected to my wifi but the speed of the internet is ridiculous. Even the fire stick is telling me that my internet is poor while i have a 1.5 Gbit connection. Speed test on my iphone right beside the fire stick is at 800-900 mbit and the speed on the fire stick itself is lower than 2 Mbit. This is so slow that I can't even watch TV on Bell fibe app.
Can someone help cause i'm about to send all that back and switch to another provider.
thank you,
Merci

Were you able to make your airplay work ? Any solutions ? I have the same problem and even Bell tech can't help. They tried to split the 2.4 and 5 ghz but still not working. When i ask the Bell tech to help me put my 3000 modem back , he told me he can't do this and told me he will call me back.
He never called back. Thank you Bell for a nice support....
