Bell webmail formatting issues

Is anyone else having problems with formatting issues? It's ongoing and frequent although hit and miss. I replied to a normal email and this is what my reply looked like in part:

postmaster@bell.net) Subject: Re: Re: Vernon Ukulele Players MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/related; boundary="----=_Part_81190_679426699.1670265127006" User-Agent: OWM Mail 3 X-SID: 38 X-Originating-IP: [***.***.**.**] ------=_Part_81190_679426699.1670265127006 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_Part_81191_2139389993.1670265127006" ------=_Part_81191_2139389993.1670265127006 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

So frustrating...

Hi there @Sharon, thanks for your post and welcome to the Bell Community.
That is very strange!

Do you know if the email is successfully sent, and does the recipient see the same thing on their side? Does this also happen when you create an email?

What type of device (make/model) are you using, and which browser? Are you able to test on a different browser as well?

Which format do you have selected? You can check by clicking Options > Format from within the reply window.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks Patricia. The emails are successfully sent and yes, that is what the recipient sees on their side (that is how I was first made aware of it, when someone asked why it was so messy. When I looked at the email in my sent folder I saw what they were referring to). I use the 'rich text' formatting so don't know if this is an issue with plain text. It happens when I create an email and has also done it when I replied to an email. It appears fine when I create/send the email, it's only if the recipient brings it to my attention (or if I go back and view it in the sent folder) that I see the formatting was bad. Reading an incoming email on my tablet and replying from my windows desktop is very inconvenient 🙂 it doesn't happen 100% of the time - just often enough to be an irritant. So far, it has only happened on my android tablet using the Bell webmail with Firebox browser. I have problems with Bell webmail using Chrome or Edge

Thank you for the additional information @Sharon.
Are you typing out the email message manually, or copying and pasting the content from a different tool?
- Patricia

Just typing it out manually. Here's another example when I replied to an incoming email:

Thank you, Andre. I look forward to 'getting to know' the new piano and the bench is great. I have passed the invoice along to the church, it won't take long.

And rest assured, I won't reference the free delivery (thank you for that, hope your drive home was nice and smooth and tractor free).

------ Original Message -

and this was the result from forwarding an email along to another: Here's the invoice for the bench. It’s a large bench and it has storage, excellent value for what he is charging us.

It's harder to troubleshoot when it's hit and miss, eh? I will no longer use the Bell webmail on my tablet because of this issue - inconvenient, however I avoid sending a messy email.

I have a similar problem with the
and text appearing mixed up with my email. I reached out to Bell chat support who couldn't help me. They then transferred me to the billing department, in error. The billing department then had someone from the technical team call me....they did, but only for me to be on hold for the next agent. 17 minutes and counting.

I've had this problem before when Webmail was upgraded. The issue has reappeared.

Yep, I am not impressed with the Bell webmail interface or their support. My last post in December on this topic didn't get a reply, good thing I'm not waiting on hold for the next agent 😉

Tech support finally picked up the phone after about 30 minutes on hold (not quite sure why they called me just to put me on hold for 30 minutes).

He didn't have a response as i would have hoped i.e. oh yes, we know this issue...this is what you need to do. He didn't seem to have any extent of how big this issue (other than saying that all issues are recorded and sent to management) - not comforting since I've reported this issue when they last upgraded Webmail (several years ago?).

The best he could do was to recommend i use Google Chrome as default browser on my Ipad (instead of Safari). He said that this "might" solve the problem. Makes you wonder what Bell is doing with all the data of calls from customers. I haven't done the change yet.

I don't have this problem at all with my PC using Outlook.
