Good Day.
Thank you for contacting the Bell Community Forum.
If it was added to your Internet account prior to Sept. 13,2024, then yes, the Good Bell McAfee package is included. It sounds like you don't have McAfee included in your package. When you login to your MyBell profile, select your internet service and then select "Change features" and select "Security". Are you subscribed to any of the McAfee Security Options? If one of these options are not selected and included in your plan, you will not be able to download McAfee.
To verify that it is part of your Internet service, login to your MyBell web account with any web browser. Scroll down & select Internet. Select > Manage my package and features. If it is included with your Internet, you will see on the left side of the page in the Package section under Features
Security - $0.00/mo. McAfee Security - Good Download
I will forward this on to a moderator to check out the status of the McAfee Download link.
Take care.

Thank you. Yes, I had confirmed under "Manage my package and features" that I am eligible prior to posting here. In fact, I got a reminder to download/install. I have been relying on Windows Defender until now, but the instructor in a PC course I'm taking said installing a dedicated anti-virus program would be a good idea. If McAfee via Bell is too much of a nuisance, I'll probably go with Avast.

I have the identical situation. I'm using a new Dell desktop with Edge. I click on Download in my Bell account and I get the same "Bad Request" error.

I too am having the same technical difficulties. I had McAfee on my old computer but recently purchased a new computer and am unable to download McAfee. My package includes McAfee Security - Good as I had the plan prior to September 2024. I followed all the instructions and also successfully ran the pre-install tool. I am using a brand new Intel Intel Core Ultra 5 HP with Windows 11.
Your assistance is appreciated.
Thank you.

Good Day.
The pre-installed McAfee Retail version that comes with many new computers, is not the same. You would need to completely remove the retail version before installing Bell McAfee Security Good. The free McAfee-Premium version is activated as soon as you start up your computer & must be removed prior to your installation of the Bell McAfee Security Good. Did you register the free pre-install McAfee-Premium?
The Bell McAfee Security - Good & the pre-loaded version of McAfee Premium - Individual that is installed on your computer are not one & the same.
You cannot download the Bell McAfee Security - Good version if the McAfee Premium - Individual is installed & activated and vice versa.
You can have one or the other, but not both. The pre-loaded version normally comes with the 12-month free Premium - Individual version.
If you require further McAfee assistance, you can reach McAfee Customer Service at: 1-866-322-3911. Here is the link to their website: McAfee Customer Service – Official Site
Take care.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
McAfee Security from Bell is still available for purchase & download. The Bell McAfee Security Good package is included & is free if it was added to your Internet account prior to Sept. 13,2024,
There is a known problem with the McAfee Security download web link on the MyBell web site. When you select Download, you are required to enter your Login & password. The "fedportal.ges.bell.ca" returns the error message "Bad request".
I have previously forwarded this issue to a moderator for investigation. A Bell Moderator will update this thread when the Download web link is working & the "Bad request" has been corrected.
Thank you for contacting the Bell Community Forum.
Take care.

Hello,
thank you for your response. I uninstalled McAfee Premium from Windows earlier but today I located on the Bell site the McAfee uninstall tool. I ran that tool and rebooted the computer but I receive the same error message when attempting to download from Bell.
The McAfee Protection Center website indicates that the free trial of the Premium version will end on April 29; it also shows the following: Devices protected: 0
Should I wait until past April 29?
Thank you.
